She's a real stupid cop.
Luckily none of my mobile mechanic work ever turned into an arrest, but it has gotten very close.
As a result of my personal experiences, I will never work on a car on the side of the road, or in a parking lot.
It has to be on someone's private residence.
Government strikes again. The centuries-old reign of terror continues. Thank you for your service!
Ole Krista the i.d addicts obey me
Officer Krista B McCabe, the public needs to be careful with those bun cops, especially when they have to perform Infront of male officers.
Unless driving never carry an id. There's no law that requires it. I never take mine. Can't give them what you don't have.
Every person who is arrested or even detained for simply not handing over ID when they're not legally required to needs to sue. Every time. It's the only way this obsession with IDs will change.
Don’t they have an IQ test for police?
This woman is a control freak she needs to fired
Should have sued the security guard too. He did not perform the duties of his job to first interact with Mr. Edger and following up with a phone call to the employee to verify he's supposed to be there. Instead he immediately reported a non-crime as a crime and IS the direct cause of this illegal arrest.
I don't think meth addicts want meth as much as a cop wants your id.
More cops drunk on their on power. Idiots
Mr Edger was awarded $77,000 in a federal jury verdict. $75,000 ifor pain and suffering and $2000 in punitive damages… $1000 per officer. Justice was served.
Wonder why people develop a HATRED towards police here's another prime Example why
Hate the police so bad for this exact reason
So did she get promoted? She is trying so hard to be the next mob boss. I'm sure she is still on the force.
False arrest should have a prison sentence. Enforcing a law in a false way. Enforcing a false law. Lying to the public and or lying on ANY report. Forfeit ALL PENSION and benefits. And be personally sued for all damages.
Your out here cause your an ignorant female tyrant that should not have a badge. It's sad that ignorance like that can get a badge to commit crimes against innocent people. Qualified Immunity is actually admitting you are not responsible for your ignorance, it needs to be abolished, if you don't know the law you sure the hell shouldn't be out trying to enforce it.
For anyone wondering how this all turned out:
"Jury awards man $77,000 for being wrongfully arrested by Huntsville police officers"
(from WAAY 31 ABC)
"A man has been awarded a total of $77,000 for being falsely arrested by Huntsville police officers.
Court documents show the decision in Roland Edger’s case was made Wednesday after a two-day jury trial.
According to Edger’s attorney, Hank Sherrod, U.S. District Judge Liles Burke ruled that Huntsville police officers Krista McCabe and Cameron Perillat falsely arrested Edger for refusing to provide an ID card to one of the officers.
For more details on this case, Sherrod released the following details:
“Today, the attorney for Roland Edger, Hank Sherrod, announced that on Wednesday, U.S. District Judge Liles Burke, after a two-day jury trial, ruled that Huntsville police officers Krista McCabe and Cameron Perillat falsely arrested Edger and that the jury would only determine Edger’s damages. The jury awarded Edger $75,000 for pain and suffering and $1,000 in punitive damages against each of the officers for a total award of $77,000. Attorney’s fees and expenses will be awarded at a later date. The judge also ruled that the City of Huntsville was liable as the officers’ employer.
“‘Roland is very glad to close this chapter in his life,’ said Sherrod. ‘Roland never imagined it would take 5 years to get justice, but he is pleased with the judge’s ruling and the jury’s verdict. Justice delayed is better than no justice. Roland hopes this verdict will lead to better practices by police officers.’"
That female cop sounds absolutely stupid. She didn't think to investigate first?? I hope he sued them
"Good people go to jail too"
What the fuck could she possibly mean by that
I hope this guy got paid, what a crock of shit this arrest was.
He won 77000
Plenty of time?
5,6,7 ish minutes and you’ve arrested someone for changing a tire?
FYI in October of 2024 a jury awarded him 77k and said the cops were basically wrong.
Not all women on the force are like this but many of them throw way too much attitude out to civilians. They get emotional. Disagree if you want but as a society of men/women we need to be able to be critical of women and men equally. This woman officer took it to far when she didn't get her way, period. It makes women on the force who are not like this look bad. Sh*t is old.
I really do not understand why so many people are so obsessed with refusing to show their ID to the police. Maybe I am missing something, but why escalate the situation? In the end, I am the one who suffers. Even if the court throws the case out, I still have to deal with jail, stress, anxiety, lawyer fees, and the long process of getting it cleared from my record.
So a lady has called to help get her car fixed and he's a mechanic then the officer comes up without a lawful order trying to ruin this mans life without being reasonable this is complete EGOTISTICAL actions
olay 2019 d(
Ass clowns
She is a MORON, she didnt even do an investigation before arresting an INNOCENT CITIZEN!!!!
"2 pm in the afternoon" So glad you clarified. 🤣
I’ve been watching these videos for weeks and had no idea just how rampant these terrible cops are. What I’ve learned is don’t trust a single one of them ever! And I would have argued tooth and nail otherwise.
cop is to stupid to ask' why is the car left there in the 1st place"
I always enjoy how the cops dont first make sure that they have been called for something legitimate. They immediately arrest someone for nothing and then want to go get the necessary info. Logic escapes cops so easily.
They should also sue the shit outta that idiot security guard
Cops are the least knowledgeable of their job in any profession. By far. Maybe if they ever stop recruiting from the short bus we’d get better cops
I feel bad for LE in a way. Their performance metrics are IDS and ARRESTS since those are the metrics that result in fed/ngo grant funding. Always follow the money. Always asks "who benefits?" Or if you want to be fancy pants: "cui bono?"
Why cant.police gather information and watch things instead of just arrest. Poor feelings hurt. Its not a dictatorship and we do not need to thank the officer for allowing us to live in thier world. Good for the victims to stand up.
He dropped that car pretty hard
UPDATE:
Roland Edger won the suit and was rewarded with $77,000 for the illegal arrest. and as usual, the tax payers paid the tab and the cops who broke the law, even though they did not qualify for qualified immunity, suffered zero consequences and went back to work to continue hurting the public and shit on the constitution for the entire rest of their careers from then till today to the day they retire.
When cops have to be self insured that’s when it changes
