27. As someone who used drugs to "get out of my pain", just like my sister, there was a day when I realized that drugs don't get you out of anything, they just sink you deeper. The day my sister left all that, I saw the change and although it cost me, I have taken the step too and I can see the change (and I have only been clean for 3 months) the negative thoughts did not go away with the use of drugs, they were amplified. If someone really wants to get out of something, they will do it, with or without help. But, and I repeat that I say this as a person who was in that disgusting world, when you consume it is more comfortable to continue consuming and complain, than to take the step to try to change. And it seems like a joke, but it is not.
