Read Time:1 Minute, 40 Second

In this video, we compare organic vs synthetic growing methods, focusing on day-to-day ease, automation, and how beginner friendly each approach is. Discover what it’s like to manage a hands-on organic garden using compost teas, bat guano, and super soil versus a precision-based hydroponic setup with exact nutrient mixing, pH adjustment, and EC monitoring. We highlight the rewards and challenges of each style so you can decide which fits your gardening needs.

From brewing organic compost teas and cultivating a living soil rich with microbes, to setting up automated hydroponic feeding systems with pumps and sensors, we break down the pros and cons of both approaches. New growers will see how a “super soil” can simplify feeding (no constant measuring or pH checks), while tech-savvy growers can appreciate the control of using EC meters and pH controllers in a hydro system. Whether you favor organic fertilizers like kelp meal and bat guano or the convenience of bottled nutrient solutions, this comparison will help you understand the daily demands and rewards of each method. Grow with confidence by learning the differences between these two popular growing styles!

  1. For me theres no debate …my quality and terpines are insanly improved with organics ,im on year 5 with the same soil..bugs dont infest as easy without all that chemical nitrogen

  2. All synthetic fertilizer is garbage. Do not promote it in any way shape or form. It’s absolutely insane that anybody thinks this this is why we have so much health problems in this country from all the shit that’s in our food and you definitely don’t want it and what we smoke but I love your show. Nothing against you but just don’t promote synthetics unless they 100% organic!

  3. I feel the other people who truly believe synthetics are better are people with a lack of Biology education and control freaks. There’s no way someone with education can tell themselves something man made is better than something that’s worked for its whole existence.

  4. Generally I go organic through out the grow unless I have a deficiency of some form then I'll use a synthetic fix to correct it asap ! My choice is usually Cutting Edge Solutions !

  5. I think organic produces the best flowers. If you do it right, the plant basically has an all it can eat buffet and just takes what it needs and leaves the rest. It’s a lot easier and for sure feels lazier, but the results seem to speak for themselves in my opine. I’ve also run Humboldt’s Secret full liquid nutrients line, and the flowers turned out killer as well, but it’s more hands-on for sure and more expensive
