I had a blast filming with you guys! Thank you to Dani for loving my 68. Also, the bronco is for sale if anyone is interested!!
I’ve owned 3 bronco’s.. a 3rd gen and two 4th gen’s.. I’ve rode in a 1st gen ( a bit uncomfortable and underpowered imo ).. but yes it’s a classic.. and to say they “strayed away” is an idiotic remark.. dude Zach I own a Land Cruiser, an 100 series and in my opinion THE BEST model.. BUT it too is FAR AWAY from the original!!.. you say you’re a LC boy but they literally did the same thing as Broncos.
…. Can we get some real Donut Media guys on this episode 😒?
I have a current 2 door sasquatch manual that I special ordered bc I loved the 66 my dad had years ago and yes 1st gens are the OG this new stuff is underwhelming. need a v8 option
And the last two years my 91 bronco has had six different offers and numerous numerous companies.
That’s the problem with all these vehicles the more they make the worse they get! Look at the ungodly shit they did to the Monte Carlo
I think people overcomplicate things. Ford did what every other company does and followed the money trail. With each new generation the demand changed. In the 70s they wanted bigger more powerful, sporty but comfy. In the 80s demand for more economic and "efficient" vehicles became greater so they leaned into that and by the late 90s early 2000s 4 door SUV's (Mom cars) started to take over the market and rather than completely rebrand the bronco they dropped the explorer, expedition & excursion ALL 4 DOORS. What they've brought out now is a little bit of everything trying to please everyone. They offer everything from the 4 door soccer mom models, to the 2 door manual off-roaders. Jack of all trades master of none kind of situation. For now its working but the market will inevitably change again and who knows what that will look like. Be happy its back for now. Long as they don't make it EV I'm happy… not that I can afford one. Still prefer the old school stuff.
I don't know how you guys passed up the opportunity to make a Make-A-Wish foundation joke what's the terminal in the backseat
As cool as the bronco is. You guys should do every generation of harvester scout.
WE DON'T NEED ELECTRIC SEATS. THEY NEVER END UP WORKING. GIB ME LEBR, GIB ME LYFE
Gen 6 is my favourite. I like that that you get modern safety, comfort and the essence of the original in a vehicle that can go straight out to hells pass or the Rubicon from factory in the right trim.
One thing they didn't touch on the entire video is the removable tops. I think that is one of the biggest things that makes a Bronco a Bronco, moreso than whether it's a 2 or 4 door vehicle.
complains about weight yet will praise land cruiser which is almost always a bloated boat. Way too much negativity regarding the new one for shockingly being made in 2024 and not 1970. Completely ignored that the og bronco is what gave birthed to the term SUV Sport Utility Vehicle. Calling any bronco luxurious is ludicrous in it of self, they have always just been a "small" utilitarian off road truck. Honestly this video just hammered down by I unsubbed after Jerry, Jobe, and James left, it was completely ingenuine, almost ragebait. I love Justin but even he looked outside his comfort zone with the amount of negativity being displayed. I really wonder what the end game was with this video, because whats the point of reviewing every bronco back to back if not to celebrate it, I wouldn't of cared if they brought up certain problems that each bronco faced as long as they were genuine problems that were researched instead of constantly complaining that there is a 4dr OPTION or spamming the word luxury in places it has no place being.
5:44 lol the yehaws and the "DAMN BOY HES THIS BOY!" That made me laugh for hard!
You guys missed a whole line of Broncos! Where is the Bronco 2
Do blazers next
Them 4th Gen Broncos be dope though brooo
Them 4th Gen Broncos be dope though brooo
Not affordable + not luxurious + weak engine = don't buy
I think they did a good job but not my type of jeep
In the late 80s they also had a Bronco “sport”, known as the Bronco ll
I learned to drive on a 1969 Ford Bronco three on the tree on a farm at 13 years old. Great experience driving all around the farm.
Wtf was this Zach guy even talking about. He had ZERO talking points on the Gen 6. I wouldn’t even call this a review. Justin sounded so annoyed with him.
I dropped off my 96 bronco at a truck rental place and asked if it was OK to park there. When I got back somebody had put a truck in front of it and nobody was around to move it. Behind it was a 25 inch high snow bank and an empty cornfield with about 15-18 inches of snow. Blasted it over the snow bank into the cornfield and then over another snowbank to get back onto the road. I also had a 100% success rate on getting laid after taking a chick off roading on mud and snow. Went through a big puddle about 18 inches deep and 50 feet long with 1.5 inch thick ice on the top. Luck was on my side because I didn't know how deep it was and didn't get stuck and the ice just flattened my license plate to the shape of my front bumper. Would have been a long walk out of there and probably not getting any after that. Maybe it's time to get another Bronco. My early 2000's Suburban is a great daily driver and fits a lot of stuff but not really an off roader.
I felt the same way about them making the charger into a four-door car that is why I never really fell in love with it it is because everybody that owned the cars before now has to have four doors whereas when they were younger and they're free days they only needed two
As a European i like the first and last generation. I do like the 4 door version, is a big car, you should be able to get in the car without bothering anyone
Late to the party, but as a 1989 Bronco II owner for 15 years, (several mods & updated equipment) I hate to admit that they were the closest revival of the original Bronco. The size and use are closer than any other models. I can fit on trails that the larger Gen's can't and it will almost climb a tree. The 2.9 was a little under powered in its original state but it was the first stab (hehehe) at a fuel injected v6. Thanks for the work to put this review together.
Uh did you guys forget abt the Bronco II
Nice idea, but you had a mint & modded Gen 1 & 2, then totally ratty wrecks of a Gen 3, 4 & 5 and a friggin Raptor………. for the current model a base spec 2 door is what you should have driven. And like condition 3 thru 5 gens to the EB and Gen 2 would have come across way better. As it is, you just seemed to have liked the shiny modded ones, hated the tatty tired ones and dissed the current model.
I think y oh re absolutely right; they should have named it something else.
O.J. Would love this episode!
Watching these guys try and drive up the hill in the brick nose was just embarrassing. They really did it dirty getting such a beat down truck and then saying "it's not luxury" super dumb. They didn't even lock the hubs. My 88 I've taken up hills that steep if not more with snow and ice, low gear actually locking the hubs and actual off-road tires makes a huge difference. But I guess whatever. The 5th Gen is the same rig mechanically it's literally no more capable but they had better tires and probably not locking hubs so they could put it in 4wd.
My bricknose looks worse but is wayyy better…
Where's the Bronco II, based on the Ranger chassis?
Just FYI. The "78" bronco either wasn't a 78 but instead a 79 or it wasn't actually a custom and may have been rebadged. The 78 custom came with round headlights not squares and was the only version of the 2nd gen bronco to have them all of the 79 where square and all other trim options of the 78 where squares
