This documentary on Motorola’s incredible comeback is a masterclass in business strategy and resilience. I am fascinated by how they pivoted from being a nostalgic mobile brand to a $60 billion leader in public safety and security. ColdFusion perfectly captures the essence of their journey, from inventing the first handheld cell phone to dominating modern emergency services. The storytelling is engaging, and the research is top-notch, showing that a legacy brand can truly reinvent itself in the digital age. Thank you for another thought-provoking episode that highlights the power of innovation. Your channel remains the best for tech history!" 📱📡🚀
For me, the Motorola brand has always conveyed reliability. I hope that they never change the bat wing inspired logo!
My current smartphone is a Motorola… It's a great, affordable phone…
Amiga Forever!
I wanted to buy a Motorola foldable phone, since they are way cheaper than Samsung's and Apple's foldables.. but I just kept seeing quite a few bad reviews everywhere on them.
I am watching this video on my iPhone 16
Bet a majority here are watching this video on their Motorolas.
If you want a lecture on Mission Critical Comms just drop me a line.
My StarTak Motorola phone is one of my favorites. Next was my Treo 650 then my iPhone 6.
Watching this video from my 5 years old Motorola phone
Sony ericsson?
I disagree with this sentiment, the only way to make schools safer is to give everyone at school a gun.
They need to focus on their flip phones even more
Lived up the day when Parent Motorola buys back its mobility division from Lenovo to do all the magic again make it an extension of Motorola solutions in a way that the motorola smartphone can actually be a useful tool in security for those who have normal innocent usage.. by that Motorola can actually sell its mobile using solution branding and in return no need to live only on mobile sales in results no need to compromise Customer details services to sell..
I looked for the cheapest pre-paid smartphone walmart had. I got the Moto G 5G.for $60 and it came with a year of service, 1500 Minutes, 1500 texts and 1.5GB of data in the later summer of '25. I've been using the services very frugally, I just started to turn off text notifications that's been eating away my service allowances, only use data when there's no wifi and I really need it and I still have like 1200/1200/1.2GB,. The phone has been on the market for 5 years when Android 10 came out and it's since been updated to android 15, the second latest version. It's a great semi-minimalist phone where you need an inexpensive phone that can use to manage entitlement benefits like a MTM cab ride for Doctor's appointments, nav directions, VOIP calls, Health Plan Food allowances that scans barcode for eligibility. Something that you need a little more than a feature phone for. Also the camera is really good. Mine only has two rear and I wish it had one with a monochrome sensor, but I'm not complaining for $60 and the pictures are 48 Megapixels and look good.
Watching on a Moto G Stylus – 5G (2025) last one was the (2021).
Not to forget mentioning, I also own a fully AUTOMATIC FRONT LOAD WASHING MACHINE from Motorola
Wrong!!! Motorola did not make comeback. Lenovo owns the brand and it's Lenovo who is using the brand at new areas and making the business, not the old American Motorola company. Same with Kodak
Hope trump doesn’t undo all their effort by banning the chinese brand lenovo owned motorola in the US
Really like your video.
i thought motorola was in radio related communication device before mobile phone device
I'm waiting Nokia one day like Motorola…
Gz beast
Chinese company saved another US company
I've been looking forward to your first drop of the year D! Solid piece as usual!!
What’s interesting is how many “traditions” are actually modern inventions, created to stabilize identity during uncertain periods.
I HATE seeing big companies go out or become a shadow of their former selves.
GO MOTORALA!!!❤😲
Watching this on my razr😅
Even though it's Chinese 🇨🇳🤮🤮 my €99 Moto 05 is awesome 👍
In Serbia we always called the police walkie talkies "Motorola" unaware of it being a brand name
Flock, flock!
cant wait for my refurbished moto razr2 v9 to arrive
Hello Moto
15:30 song name?
Watching this on a Motorola 🙂❤ Excellent video! Top quality!
If a computer didn't have a Motorola CPU in it, back in the 1990s, I didn't want to know about it.
motorola smartphones still actually exists under lenovo. they became lenovo's phone department while lenovo focused on laptops
My first phone was a Motorola, which I still have.
Motorola owned by China now right? 😅
Lenovo is responsible for saving at least two much loved brands. Along with Motorola, the venerable IBM ThinkPad is also thriving under their leadership. Between my Moto Razr and Lenovo Yoga, I continue to appreciate their dedication to quality and value in hardware.
I love my Moto Razr Ultra 60.
