So far my impossible dream car is the e34 540i only difference is it has to be a manual transmission garen f**** teed because I am done with the automatics I've had one beat the tar out of it obviously continued going Love it for what it is but it ain't no manual transmission it's an automatic and by goddamn it I was trying to get at least one in some type of f**** form whether it be a 5:30 I 5 speed that failed whether it be just the transmission itself Guess what Even with the amount of money in hand that failed so let's try again let's try getting an actual car with the manual transmission everything that failed also All of these failures are not of my doing which is the most irritating thing ever I've offered a bunch of other people trades and s*** with the vehicles straight up giving everything and they won't do it I don't know what it is I would have given all of my cars to multiple people just for one goddamn manual f**** transmission and they wouldn't do it I just don't get God the world everything doesn't want me to f**** have a manual transmission behind in an M60 V8 enjoying that that is the only goal I had and I just cannot f**** get it no matter what I try I don't know what to do I almost am thinking about starting to thieve things because if you got everything funds wise and just all of it ready and you can't get it every single f**** time you try it makes you think there's something against you like a curse or something cuz there has to be something everybody cannot say no and I mean everyone cannot say no there's got to be someone that has to say yes so what the f*** I'm just baffled cuz I've tried everything like over 30 to 40 different conversations with different people trying to make trades trying to pay for it the proper way everything it just won't f**** happen I don't get it I've only had one goal and I'm f**** about ready to give up on it I don't want to go to jail for just trying to do what I was always wanting to do but man if you Don't get out of my f**** way and give me the goddamn car I f**** ask for for so goddamn long I'm going to go crazy I'm not asking for a pristine perfect anything it doesn't have to be perfect I was going for just the transmission itself getting rid of all of my running cars so just understand I want the base manual transmission and the M60 or m62 I don't care just manual transmission f*** the auto completely it's reliable but I don't want to buy an auto transmission every goddamn time I'd rather replace a clutch

11. The first part of your story about driving around with the salesman makes me mad. Let me explain, in 2017 I was put in the hospital with pneumonia. While in the hospital (3 weeks ) I found out that the 16 year old neighbor across the street was driving my 96 Impala as his own personal car. Sometimes his mother would drive it but mostly it was the 16 year old. Hauling aspirin on Main Street, doing donuts on the high school parking lot etc. I finally got my other neighbor ( she was MEAN , basically you didn’t mess with Beverly) to take the car away from Dylan .

12. I thought they ran till 97, also the teal with beige interior was my favorite I almost bought one then the Z28 SS came out and I had to have it, car #556.

13. I was buying these out of police auctions for basically nothing, I drove them for years and there is nothing that can be done to a car while driving it that I didn’t do these cars on a regular basis, giggity.

18. That 96 impala is still 1 of my dream cars. I don't even care about the color. They normally came in black "purplish" or teal. I test drove so many of them for my 1st back in around 2003 but all of them were ragged out. Mostly for the infamous transmission going out. I ended up buying a 01 camaro v6 with 45k miles instead(which I still own now) for the around the same price

31. All about the Benjamin's came out and I was a teenager and I have wanted that impala SS ever since. Then they made that crap looking impala 😑 how they made that leap from the 7th to the 8th is crazy.

32. My pops bought me one of those as a graduation gift from high school in 2005. It was all I ever wanted that car man. Anyway they were already 10 years old at that point but we found ourselves nice 26,000 MI example from an older gentleman. car I think it was about 10 grand. And I drove it all the way to 280,000 mi, I did the lt4 hot cam package with the heads Cam and intake on it had a holly throttle body, at one point it had a little nitrous works 100 shot on it which I swapped out for a centrifugal supercharger somewhere along the way. But even to this day man that was probably one of my favorite cars I've ever owned. They came with 260 horse stock I think mine made around $5 20 years and years later once I had done everything including the pro charger which back then was a fast car. I always wanted to do a six-speed SWAT to it like a t56 out of a Camaro accessor something like that but I never had the chance or the funds to do so but I always thought that that just would have been the coolest

33. Can confirm everything Christopher said about this car is 💯 true. Grandfather bought one new in 1995. A blue collar family man his entire life, was the first car he’d bought new off the lot. Used it only for summer road trips and would not let grandma drive it saying it had too much power. Told me years later “she tops out at 142. Don’t tell your grandma!” Given to me before his death in 2010.

37. Both my father and grandfather have an 1997 impala ss in the dark cherry metallic. They are fantastic cars but it looks like I won't be inheriting one like I'd like so I think I'll try and find the rare green one or a black one

38. I've driven past a trespassers will be shot sign to leave a note for an old Toyota pickup when the guy pulled in the driveway as I was leaving the note he just got out of his car and said "nope it's not for sale" as I was driving an identical Toyota pickup

39. I remember test driving one in 1997 or 98, I got on the freeway with it and just gunned it. The salesguy was not happy and immediately objected and wanted to end the test drive. I told the guy if I'm going to spend this much I want to see what I can do. I think at the time it was 18K or something.
