4. as a ae86 and gr86 owner 😅 I can say both cars have there up and downs especially have driven them on canyon mountain roads and tracks the ae86 You really feel every bumb in the road you better be a good driver the steering 😮will lock up on you.. At that point you better know how to counter steer so you dont crash yes its a slower car but down hill you will not tell as much as up hill.. For the gr86 it hugs the road more and give you more forgiveness its also a newer car with anti lock breaks 😅 both cars are fun to drive and we're my daily driver.. anyone looking to get either car id say if you pick a ae86 dont expect 😂 it to be fast or handle like a dream your driving style will be put to the test when you 1st feel that lock up be ready 😉 counter stear just dont over stear crash.. as for the gr86 you will not have to worry as much gas mileage lol the gr86 I feels like it drinks gas compared to the ae86

5. It would nice if Toyota developed a inline 4 for the GR86 instead of the Subaru H 4 as a tribute to the original AE86.

6. I owned an AE92 which was fun but not as fun as the AE86. Unfortunately acceleration was frustrating as it needed more.

12. 0:16 hell nah for the old timer price. some old timers have prices because they are rare to find or are discontinued. but that car is not it if you have a newer model of it that even looks better (even rarer in my opinion). In this case the newer model all the way. EDIT: Sure they drive differently but not worth that plus in price, especially when considering incoming repairs.

25. As much as the whole under-powered, econo, shit box thing is true about the AE86, so is the magical, rear-end sliding, anime-inspiring, Drift King birthing thing as well.

30. I think the real answer is a first gen BRZ/FRS/86 that’s low mileage. Hard to find though, but an AE86 is crazy hard

31. I’ve got a 23 BRZ and had a 89 Corolla GTS back in the day. They have very similar feel. Both definitely fun to drive
