12. Do you have to clutch kick on the manual when using the drift brake? How’s that work on the automatic? Torque converter just sucks it up?

    My best drifting a newer car story was mostly by accident: I had bought a new ‘13 BRZ and found someone selling some Rotas with used up tires. I swapped the Rotas on, for looks, and there wasn’t a lot of grip. At all. I was already turning off traction and stability control as soon as I started the car. I made a left turn at a traffic light in first gear – the crown of the road just threw the back end around and I did a long slow motion drift. Lots of fun, but unplanned. I’ve been “drifting” since I got my license in early 90’s, driving V8 rwd malaise boats and just gassing it around a corner in the rain or snow. Every time. They really didn’t call it drifting back then. I was just hooning around as a teenager. Snow days were the best – no traffic, no traction, and police weren’t trying to give out tickets to cars sliding around the roadways.

16. The drift brake is mostly a scam item. The emergency brake on the s650 is electronic onoff switch. A drift break allows modulation of the rear brakes.

18. I had pzero tires from factory on my 07 mustang and my 2013 Boss 302. Honest opinion, worst tires I have ever had. Old school gatorbacks hooked better

    The value has been pretty hard to beat since the Coyote came into play with the '11s(and they're holding a LOT of power these days too), and they just keep getting better. You'd think Ford would get more respect over the last decade for doing the most for enthusiasts of any major automaker, but haters gonna hate.

32. To be fair P-Zeros have not been a player in grip for quite a while. They've been the weak point of every car they've been on. Switch to Michelin PS4's and the cars transform. The automakers just have a contract to fulfill. Look at the Throttle house review of the GT. The tires make the car fall completely flat.
