24. So wait, now Matt and Josh are claiming the weed bought in Miami had a name? Because that’s not part of the original story of OG Kush at all. The weed was just some “crippy”, that was the name for fire weed that wasn’t boof back in that time period in Florida and that’s the traditional way this story has been told. Most weed still didn’t carry a strain name in 1991. When new details emerge in the story as time passes, I think it’s important to dismiss them as folklore or embellishments. Also, the OriginsTK connection is speculative, it’s never been confirmed or part of the original story and there’s a lot of mixed up facts in this video, it was actually Josh D who originally brought the cut to LA, not Matt, Matt came later. It’s definitely suspected that TK and OG Kush share a common ancestor but they are very different cuts for anyone who’s grown them. TK also predated OG Kush by a couple years but didn’t blow up until later when some bigger growers got hold of it…. On a side note, OG Kush is a Sativa dominant hybrid, not Indica. True OG Kush needs about 72-75 days of flowering indoors if you want it to be truly finished. And the Dr Dre having OG Kush while making The Chronic is laughable since the Chronic was released 4 full years before Josh D first arrived in LA with the cut
