BP may be a household name, but their track record for safety is one of the worst in the oil and gas industry. Unfortunately, this has led to many needless deaths and ecological damage that’s mind-boggling to comprehend. Where did it all go wrong? In this episode we explore.

41 thoughts on “BP: The Most Dangerous Oil Company

  1. BP Hired a company called Laid Law. that's right the school bus people, who did not follow the clean up orders of BP corperate. but instead used the inferior clean up tools that Laid Law proviided which trippled the clean up cost and did very little to actually remove the oil from the Gulf! To add insult to injury Laid law decided to FAKE OUT the public by using what they called was an oil "Dispersent" which was a More Toxic Chemical than the Oil itself to What they said was to speed up the reduction of the oil to speed up the removal! Which it didn't do It only split the oil into microscopic drops that were unable to be seen but were actually a half million gallons of more Toxins added to the GULF OIL SPILL and not removed but ignored! Out of Site OUT OF MIND! was their goal!!! They scammed the public and BP While increasing the poison level of the spill with over a half million gallons of an even more dangerous chemical to wild life! When BP had contracted them to use an oilophilic sponge removal product that would have cleaned up the majority of the spill in about 3 weeks and not produced or injected any extra chemicals into the gulf and actually allowed a large amount to be recycled and recovered instead of hidden and left in the water to kill wildlife!
Laid Law has since filled for banktruptcy and closed. but that didn't help any one but their exectutives!!! especially any one relying on the Gulf for their livelyhood including the sea life!
This is not known by the public, but one hidden by the press and big oil, but is a TRUE story!!!

  2. Are you serious with the Gulf of America nonsense….or are you just farming comments like this one? Either way, there's vomit in the back of my throat. I don't think you need to do such childish things as it might cheapen what is usually quality content

  3. The Gulf of America statement was so distracting that I couldn’t concentrate on the rest of the video. You either had a dull moment, lacking judgement and wisdom or you are genuinely pandering to a global minority; the Trump admin and its supporters. My first dislike for one of your videos.

  4. Thank you for keeping relevant up-to-date names such as the gulf of America. Names on maps change, I don’t know why people are butt hurt.

  5. The Macondo disaster was the largest marine oil spill in U.S. history and a grave harm in its own right. Yet BP’s cumulative record in the Global South—comprising systematic revenue diversion, militarised extraction and long-term ecological degradation—has produced broader, longer-lived and arguably more severe human rights and environmental damage, even though it rarely receives comparable attention in Western media. And by the way, it is Gulf of Mexico.

  6. BP previously known as Anglo-Iranian Oil Company (AIOC) owned and controlled by the British government played a central role in the 1953 coup in Iran. Iran wanted to nationalise it for the people of Iran, and to secure a fairer share of the oil revenues, but Britain had other plans.

  7. It's bonkers that top execs get a pass all the time, and corporations are not treated like individuals. Execs are the very first ones who should be prosecuted and jailed if found guilty.

  8. Loooooook at the comments! All they care about is the name of a failed state south of the borders,,, while they are trying to cover up on Halliburton,,,, I mean, wasn’t the first time

  9. If a disaster happens and Halliburton is a part of it,,, the fault usually is from Halliburton,,, 6 years of work experience in Iraq backs my statement,,, and they always get away with it

  10. This video should get a good boost in the algorithm with all the comments on "gulf of Mexico"/"gulf of America". Very interesting video .Thanks for the deep dive. I wonder just how much the fishing industry ended up being impacted and how long into the future it will be over that spill. It would be another interesting breakdown.

  11. Working on BP NZT (Teesside) project which is one of the biggest Carbon Capture plants in the world connected to a natural gas powered power plant. Has BP changed it's stance in the recent times? Because this project just might be the gamechanger for all future Carbon Capture Plants.
