Authenticity plays a big part but all of these guys play a persona, half the video is saying if you're not a serial killer you're fake & can't be a drill rapper. It's really interesting to hear the stories behind these artists, but 99% of us have zero involvement in the actual street beefs, who cares what the persons actual credentials are if they make good music.
