32 thoughts on “China’s DeepSeek – A Balanced Overview

  1. now i understand why deepseek choose to open source their weight, it is to expose totalitarian isn't exist in communist country but they are can happen in democratic country too… there are even talk to prison 20 years for prompting deepseek…. isn't that what totalitarian do?

  2. China had the edge in technological development ever since computing stuff became a thing. The people whom think otherwise, pls get your head out of the ground and start researching pls

  3. It would be so funny if the us started banning anything china related as they keep falling behind on everything while the rest of the world evolves, US politicians really swindled their citizen making them think that handing their data to the chinese is somehow worse than giving it to their own government and for profits that can directly act on consumers locally

  4. Still need to validate this myself , but "Republican Senator Josh Hawley introduced a bill that would prohibit people in the US from using the app [DeepSeek], or interacting with other artificial intelligence technologies built in China – or else face jail time and a fine of up to $1 million". I bet a lot of our politicians invested in American OpenAI to make this drastic display of power encroachment.

  5. So, as explained in your video, DeepSeek is basically different in approach from OpenAI, where is the so-called theft on IP? US makes wild accusation all the time, smacking itself non-stop when there is no suit!

  6. The market didn't crash because of this. This was just to blame. This happens to the markets twice a year. If your worried about stocks try zooming out on the chart and look at dates. this is normal.

  7. 14:17 uhhh, as if programmers aren't already professional copy and pasters. We just use AI so we can do the more challenging things. It doesn't make things that don't exist yet.

  8. Finally someone that doesn't mindlessly say CHINA BAD USA GOOD – they both spy. As ALL governments.

Let's not forget that most of US' big tech companies give direct access via backdoors to the NSA CIA etc, as Snowden confirmed more than 10 years ago.

  9. These big tech companies should feel dumb for wasting all that money on these chatbots to hype up the stock holders. Sam Altman and ClosedAI is a grift. I think China did probably steal and hack their IP but all is fair in war

  10. If AI is so great why not guess at my data? AI is over rated and has much low hanging fruit to steal. AI is a light bulb. Who wants to obey a light bulb? I don't need AI or a light bulb telling me what to do. FAI. This all done to harvest human life and labor as slaves.

  11. 14:03 there might be a couple of ways this works out like yes it can code and then therefore a lot of programmers will lose their jobs or it can just simply mean that programmers will use this as a tool to do 95% of their easier stuff but do about 10 to 20 times more than they used to.

  12. Me personally I wouldn't mess with deep-seek until I got good at adjusting parameters in its open source programming so then therefore I can make it into a independent free bought as opposed to a commie bot.

  13. Not sure if it was on this video or another saying the Raspberry pi was incapable of running Deepseek. Wow so wrong. Got running on a spare Raspberry pi. 400
