Welcome to “Highlights at Home with Kyle Kushman,” your premier destination for all things cannabis. Today’s episode dives into the latest developments in the cannabis industry from California to Germany.**

-California Cannabis Delivery Workers Consider Strike
In California, over 500 cannabis delivery employees may strike on the notable date of 4/20. The workers, collaborating with Eaze Technologies and their affiliate, Stachs, are demanding better pay, including increased mileage compensation, higher hourly rates, and fixed weekly hours. Despite Eaze proposing a significant salary raise to $25 per hour plus tips and an 88% increase in base pay, the offer was rejected by the workers represented by four UFCW locals. The disagreement highlights ongoing tensions, with potential strikes that could disrupt service, though Eaze assures continuity of operations. This situation comes amidst broader union movements within the state, signaling a growing trend in organized labor among cannabis delivery personnel.

-Setback for Recreational Cannabis in Hawaii
Moving to Hawaii, legislative efforts to legalize recreational cannabis faced a stumble. The bill was halted by the Hawaii House Finance Committee due to concerns about its implementation and opposition among members. Committee Chairman Kyle Yamashita emphasized prioritizing state budget for critical services amidst financial constraints exacerbated by recent natural disasters. Despite making unprecedented progress in the Senate, the bill’s supporters must now reconsider their approach amidst broader fiscal responsibilities.

-Germany Embraces More Liberal Cannabis Laws
Across the pond in Germany, cannabis aficionados are celebrating eased restrictions that kicked off this April. The new legislation allows adults to possess up to 25g of dried cannabis and grow up to three plants. Celebrations were marked by a “smoke-in” at Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate, highlighting the public’s approval of these changes. The German government hopes that these measures will reduce illegal sales and protect younger populations by regulating the market more effectively. However, the new laws also bring challenges, including public health concerns and policing, indicating a significant shift in the nation’s approach to cannabis regulation.

  1. Just grow on brother there are no rules when it comes to growing a plant
If you wanna go stealh do some 15 other plants vegetables and flowers for every mary jane so you can hide it in your backyard. My neighbours love my sunflowers they dont even see the weed anymore

  2. with union getting involved they will make the cost of it all go so high it will become which it basically has already to expensive to enjoy anything good when you earn not much more then minimum wage dispo weed is just not doable for me where i live and if they get union and wages go up that means the weed prices go up and that will 100% stop me from splurging on decent smoke once in a while i use to drink a bit but its cost is to high now also glad i have the option to grow at home
