12. 2:38:47 I was there too with Aya, in one of my journeys. I liken it to the story of Arjuna with Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita. Krishna shows his true form to Arjuna but he couldn't take it. He asked for it to stop, saying he was not worthy. Well that was my situation. The amount of data and information that was pouring into my mind was overwhelming. Note to others working with Aya. 21. I find the cult of the ancestors very weird, particularly for a Buddhist culture. The body is nothing but a vessel, and death is nothing but a new beginning. Obsessing on your dead family members to me makes no sense, their souls should be already in a better place, or already in a new body. Obsessing on your dead grandpa body is no different than obsessing on his old car, they are both just his old veichles.
    As for the idea of eating your dead to keep their souls inside you forever, that's absolutely insane! Don't they want them to be free and continue their journey? Most of all it seems like a tremendously selfish practice.
    Again, extremely strange for a Buddhist culture, I wonder how this became part of it.
