You should check out the Neon community.. they are also a very hated car but the community used to be huge, it died down a lot over the years but it seems to be picking up in the last couple years.. some of the nicest people in that group and lots of interesting builds..
For your PT you should look into the 2.4L turbo engine and the mods that are available.. A PT Cruiser GT Turbo is basically the same as a SRT-4 neon
The 2 door convertible is legit one of my favourite cars that I’ve ever driven. 5 speed turbo. Open top. Very stiff chassis, absolute dream to drive.
I had one, it was a black beauty with all the options but it had a 5 speed. I loved it but it got totaled.

Ive never been in a PT Cruiser but i did own an HHR for years. Absolutely hate HHR's
First car was a navy blue PT Cruiser. I've always thought of getting another just to have it. Its a legitimately good car for what it is. I'm sure alot of low income families got them like mine did when my parents were in school and the thing lasted well into my years at highschool.
This was hilarious! I worked at a Chrysler dealership in the early 2000s and can attest to the PT owners being crazy about those cars. Some of the cars that came in for service were so…unique lol. Had to give this one a watch.

Man this was one of the only videos thats come out lately that somewhat peaked my interest, but the editing style is so bad I had to turn it off after 3 minutes. This is not the Donut I used to love. Peace out
Many don’t know they had GT turbos with the SRT-4 motor. I had mine with bolt ons running 14’s. Paid 4K for it, put 50k miles on top of the 100 it had, and sold it for more than I paid. 4 doors, heated seats, sunroof, blow off valve. It was a fun daily, just handled like crap. (And torque steer)
