Life then was just better
This is how we still do it at my grandmas to the T!!
I was the official turkey carver for the family over 15 years but I still don't know why
When Thanksgiving came around in the 80's it was a time my family would get together and yes we definitely watched those floats on TV and it just felt so welcoming and those glasses we used looked exactly like those shown here. I miss it because nowadays Thanksgiving is just another day to most people. Wish I could turn back time and stay in the 80's.
When I turned 11 Thanksgiving became my favorite over Christmas. Now, I don't so either. But back then it was a great time to be a child.
This country has to reverse its course.
Great memories!
Oh man I want that house so badly! It's gorgeous!!!

I miss those days no cell phones people actually talk to each other and the food seem to taste better than
Thanksgiving isn't what it used to be. It used to be very traditional. Now it kinda lost its meaning especially now how people act and so self centered.
I miss those days.
Before the horror of the balloon popping in the wind at the parade. The rose parade was one of a kind. You could get right up to the floats the day before the parade. Amazing
I will keep saying it I MISS THE 80S

Beautiful memories. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you, Rhett.
Reminds me of a Merle Haggard song. "Are the good times really over"
What happened
A lot less pilgrim shaming back then too.
Yasss planes & trains
I prefer thanksgiving of now. Too many people here whining about thanksgiving of the past.
