The first time I heard Sleep Token was the same tour with Nothing More. I've been obsessed with them since. The first thing I picked up on was II's drumming probably one of the best Drummer's I've ever heard.
I will say that I have no problem if the band plays pre recorded vocals in situations like this. No shame in that. Hat's off to Sleep Token for playing the complicated music they play for real as much as they do.

I literally just discovered them this month. I was confused at first, like wth am i listening to? But as i started to listen to them again and again, it grows on me. I love how "chill" enough they sound to fool your neighbors youre listening to an r&b or pop song, then be brutalized once the metal part kicks in.
I was hooked the first time I heard the summoning. There are levels to their music. I can’t imagine how some people don’t like it.
If I could put I'm a vote for the Fans name for Sleep Token…I'd call us the "Sleepers" (this is simply an example) for you non car enthusiasts. A Sleeper car is a car that doesn't appear as it seems. (For example a smart car) and just mops the floor with the compition. I think it's rather fitting. Sleep Token not appearing as they seem but fierce in the blazing of their own path.
The hype may die down as younger generations arise and determine the state of music, but they will always be around, much like Tool and Deftones.

I support and love everything they come out with. Sleeptoken is sleeptoken. They have always had multiple elements of different genres let them flourish!
Opeth is my favorite band has been for a long time…. Sleep Token is in 2nd now and I just discovered them a year ago. Your point about music needing variance and not just being all heavy or all soft resonates with me heavily. Agreed

Oh so they change their masks like Slipknot? And most every other band that wears masks. Original. Overhyped imo. They’re good musically but nothing as crazy as everyone seems say they are.

I rarely listen to rock/metal songs but if i will, it's definitely has to be Sleep Token
Many rock and metal reviewers (and me) somehow accidentally listen Sleep Token's latest album the most. Actually….this is the new "nu-metal". And Bring Me The Horizon started it…..Nu metal connected many people because there was many elements that people like – rock, metal, rap and electronics. So Sleep Token does the same but more extreme way. I know people who love The Summoning because of ending part, but also know people who love heavier part. Sleep Token connects everybody.
