Everything was great back in those days, like when you had to be at school before 8:00 and tons of homework, and making minimum wage, and gas was cheaper, and had great cars, trucks, and music.theses kids of today missed out on everything, but they can"t handlel what we had.
It always makes me both happy and nostalgic that I grew up to own the first Thriller edition, and the 25th anniversary edition, and the 40th anniversary edition… The worst is it did not feel like 15 years passed between those 2 collector editions. Damn, it goes faster and faster.
Lol I remember when thriller came out I was only 6 years old I heard it on the radio it scared me Vincent Price's voice was creepy thinking back on it now it was kinda silly ahhh the good ole days wonderful times 80's movies and music was a lot better than what we have today those were awesome years growing up
Mister Rodgers nieghborhood and sesame Street both came out in 68 but with sesame street they only made so many episodes and reran them for years now there's a revamped version I believe on HBO could be wrong tho
I digest MTV IS STILL AROUND
Im older than diet coke
80’s social media was to name the band, then lead singer, drummer, and so on after every correct answer among a group of friends.
MTV is still around but they don't have any music on there anymore.
Movies in the '80's were great.
My 17 yr old great niece watches abc after school specials and loves them
I skipped school to watch the launch of MTV at a friend's house,, yes I'm that old,, lol
Born 1963
Wrestling in the 1980's and 1990's were better
I love all of you my generation out there from coast to coast, stay strong, stay safe, stay happy…POSITIVE VIBES FROM SOUTHWEST GA 💪
Still waiting on my hover board.
Time already feels like it’s going too fast at 17
A mirror makes me feel old 😂
Growing up in the 70's and being a teen in the 80's was the best. I was 12 in 1980 and those were the best times to be a teen. The girls, the fashion, the music, the parties, etc. I would trade everything to go back and do it all over again. Back then, you were never in the house – even in the winter. After breakfast, you went out to hang with your friends, cam home for lunch, went back out until dinner, and then back out until the street lights came on. No cell phones, no social media, you knew what bathroom to use, rainbows were just a beautiful part of nature, no one cared if you were a democrat or republican, etc. Truly a magical time…
Love it! Thanks! 🙂😎
I remember Golden Age Hollywood cartoons being a big thing in the '80s. They were shown on regular TV and on cable TV. They were very big in the '80s, big enough to inspire Who Framed Roger Rabbit to be made which came out in the '80s.
MTV and VH1 still exist. They aren't mainly about music anymore.
Yep, this 80's kid is older than Diet Coke by 10 years! LOL! Some great music came out that decade for sure. I remember how expensive CD players were at the time, seeing as how the technology was relatively new in the early 80's. I was a vinyl record kid, but made the transition to cassettes by the mid 80's. I wouldn't fully transition to CD's until the late 90's. I loved opening a new cassette album, folding out the card insert, reading the liner notes and looking at all the photos. I also fondly remember seeing The Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi when they debuted in the theaters. It also meant adding more awesome action figures to my collection! The original Star Wars trilogy was timeless! Saturday morning cartoons went hand-in-hand with being an 80's kid! Many was the time I remember sitting down in front of the TV with a bowl of Cocoa Krispies with sliced bananas while watching Looney Tunes, The Justice League, The Saturday Supercade (cartoons based on the popular video games of the time), and many more. Then there were the occasional times when dad would pile us all in the car as we went to the local video store to rent a few movies on VHS tape. The VCR and video rentals — that was my introduction to the classic Indiana Jones series of movies. Anybody remember the VHS vs. Betamax format war of the 80's, or perhaps the Classic Coke vs. New Coke war? And what 80's kid doesn't miss the classic landline push-button or rotary-dial phone with the loud ringer and the receiver that rested on a cradle, seeing pay phones on the wall of every school or public building you went into, when MTV had VJ's and actually played videos, 80's candies like Big League Chew and Bonkers, guzzling down sugary drinks and not having to worry about diabetes, riding BMX bikes over makeshift ramps, watching edge-of-your-seat TV shows like The A Team and Knight Rider, dressing up like Crockett and Tubbs from Miami Vice, seeing PC's in classrooms for the first time, when classrooms had chalkboards and overhead projectors instead of dry erase boards and internet connections, when you watched movies in class on reel-to-reel projectors or VCR's instead of DVD's or through the web, etc.? All of the above is just the tip of tie iceberg for how awesome it was to come of age in the 80's! There'll never be another exciting decade like it ever again! I guess everyone says that about the time they grew up, but believe me, if you knew the 80's like we 80's kids did, you might be inclined to agree with me! LOL!
That looks like Sharon Stone with the Diet Coke… ❤
Every time my parents tell me we’re not really into Star Wars. I literally facepalm 🤦♀️
I jumped so much I made our record player skip when it played Huey Lewis and the News.
I was in my teens during the 80's so I only remember MTV and video games!! And I'm ALOT older than diet coke! 😂
Is it just me or does the guy in front of the Pac-Man game @7:52 look a lot like Michael Anthony from Van Halen? Maybe it is.
i will never understand the baby jessica thing at that young age how would she of been able to crawl and fall into a well?
I wake up feeling old, go to bed feeling old. I am old. I break a sweat getting out of bed in the morning, and sound like a loud bowl of rice crispys when I walk. I recently woke up with a thumb that didn't work any more and was stuck at a 45 degree angle for 5 months until i was reaching for zip lock bags on a shelf and misjudged my reach and banged it head long into the edge of the shelf. it popped loudly , hurt like a son of bitch and i promptly sat on the floor and cried. the next day my thumb started moving again, it still hurts but I can move it. I can remember we used to go dancing and dance all night, I'm gonna be lucky if I can make it to 8 pm without falling asleep in my chair. But I know I'll be up in 5 hours when I used to sleep at the least 8 hours. yep, old age seeks up and kicks you right in the ass.
I truly think, this was your best video yet! And that's hard to say because all of them are amazing!
0:43 – Is that Sharon Stone?
From 1980 to 1990 I was on Active Duty in the US Marine Corps, so not many memories of being a child!
I knew i was older than Diet Coke
It's not like hearing you're older than the automobile
I remember Tab. My grandmother would buy it
I tried it and wondered why anyone would want this
Turns out not enough people did
**"Huh. Just checked. They were so making Tab in 2020?
My mom was a big fan of the Golden Girls 😊. Rest in paradise my beautiful mother ❤
No so fast on the music store Land speed records just opened two big stores vintage vinyl comeback and are actually selling 80% new albums tshirts and posters
Thank goodness everyone didn’t have cameras on them all the time when we grew up
80s……LOL. i got out of the Army in 1975.
It was the best time
Wish i could go back so much i could cry about it.
I'm old enough to remember when the "M" in "MTv" stood for "Music" instead of "Moron."
I'm also old enough that I saw the original Star Wars in theaters. I was two years old. I also saw E.T. and cried all the way home because he said he would "be right here" and then he left anyway.
The 80s👍👍♥️♥️
