  1. It must have been awfull not having anything to see on tv,just dull programs😛

No fun pc-games,only dos games ?

And all the music was dull too ?

    I am glad i didn't live back then 😀

  2. WOW!!!
@4:58 I havent seen that GOLDFINGER CD that's in the CD book since highskool!!!
My BFF at the time Jared has that CD abs when hed actually drive to skool n give me a lift home, he had that CD in his book!
    What a lifetime ago!!!
It's been more years since then as my age at the time!!🤯🤯🤯🤯

  3. I was born in 1986. The 1990s was my 2nd decade ever. VHS player, CDs, entertainment centers, roller skating, the Internet, Chia Pets, Nintendo, Sega, PlayStation, Books, toys, board games, jigsaw puzzles, I liked the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Game Boy (original), the Super Nintendo, Game Boy Pocket, Nintendo 64, Game Boy Color, and Sega Genesis, but I didn’t get them later in life until 2002 and 2003 respectively, during the early 2000's. I have a VHS/DVD player combo, my Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis, and I don't have my NES and Super Nintendo yet in my house, but soon.

  4. I think the kitchen cabinets at 2:21 still look very nice. Computer desks are still around even though they don't look exactly the same. Laptops are convenient but if you work from home, having a dedicated desktop PC with peripherals is essential. Speakers are popular among audiophiles who still collect CDs or Vinyl. Many homes constructed in the 2000s still have columns or arched windows. I think landline phones are still around and are somewhat necessary given how cell phone coverage can still be unreliable. I had no idea floor lamps were a fad. My parents had them for decades.

It's more like many of those things you would expect to see in every 90s home still exist but serve a more narrow niche market.

  5. Cordless phones came out in the 80’s, but were very expensive. They finally got affordable in the 1990s. Thats why most people didnt have one until then. …. that applied to a lot of things, like CD’s. Came out in the 80’s, too expensive for normal people, then finally became cheap and ubiquitous in the 90s

  6. If any young people out there need proof that the 90s was better and it's not just some nostalgic longing from old people, i can explain it this way…. in the 90's your computer never made you feel sad, angry, jealous or cause any other negative emotions or mental health issues…. unlike today. There you go, proof that YES the 90s really was better.

  7. My parents had a halogen torchiere, during the 90s for as far back as I could remember as an '89 baby, that was until one evening when me and my younger sister were doing our homework in the living room, when the bulb shattered and were it not for it being an early 40s duplex with tile flooring that was almost certainly asbestos containing, would have probably started a fire. I had changed the bulb a couple nights earlier, I was about 10 yrs old and didn't know that you had to use a cloth to keep your skin oils off the bulb, or clean it with rubbing alcohol if you do touch it. Indeed the brightness, soft indirect light, dimmer switch and very reasonable purchase price made them very popular until the early 2000s, and I'm glad we no longer see these in homes.

  8. I remember getting a "please rewind" fine every time i returned a movie. The blockbuster had a fleet of bright coloured classic car vhs rewinders that I don't remember when one was not running while being in the store lol. Feels so long ago but not at the same time….

  9. Those old Nokia phones were hardy. I bought my first mobile phone when I moved away from my parents 1996. I didn't have a tool for nailing things on walls so I used my mobile for it 😀 I also used to party a lot back then and one time accidentally dropped my mobile in the toilet seat. It still worked years after.

  10. Don’t forget the little mini water fountains everyone had on their mantle or shelf! But wow you really included a lot here.
Hey , love this, I hope you do more 90’s, lifestyles, vehicles, clothes, fads, etc…

  11. You are so right , it such a shame they song make appliances to last these days like in the past, I cannot tell you how many TVs, stoves, fridges, and microwaves (😟) we’ve had to buy the last ten years alone. My parents used the same all of the above for 20 years. I’m so jealous..😕

  12. Not much is more 90’s than Oak cabinets and furniture. And the same colored tile and hardwood floors. It was all so bright, airy and nice back then but seemed so bland in the 2000s…
