24 thoughts on “Mat Armstrong SMUGGLED parts into the US to fix AdamLZ’s GT3!

  1. i'd be more worried about violating immigration laws by working in the US without the proper visa. it could be a problem next time you try get into the US. I've had friends from UK refused entry because it looked like they were planning to work.

  2. You mentioned a law that you can't buy structural parts. That's a Porsche Cars North America rule. There isn't a US law that prohibits buying structural parts.

  3. nahh I still say AdamLZ is just too cool for school. Even as far as not even mentioning his name "a YouTuber is re-building my car". That's disrespect of the greatest… He didn't have any cameo in the build series. He could have showed face once, or at least Facetimed Mat for a a snippet of video. It was a nut punch to AdamLZ pride for not rebuilding the car in his own shop. Mat deserves that car and Adam… pffft will never change.

  4. FYI, there are no laws in the US, anywhere, that prevent a company from selling you parts.
There are a lot of people who are fighting to get laws to make it so that companies MUST sell you parts.
Most companies in the US don't want to sell you parts, because they want to sell you a new one of whatever broke. They don't care about the longevity of their products, about waste, about customer satisfaction… they only care about money.
    Follow "Right to Repair"

  5. You know how to maybe "drive away" when stopped by CHP in CA? Above the signature line "TRANSFER TO COUNTY SEAT". This only applies to CHP and almost 90% have never heard of it, but it is in their training. Now rather than putting the ticket to the nearest courtroom of the CHP it goes to the County seat maybe five times from the actual car stop. Often times even for speeding (Highway 5 etc) the CHP will just let the driver go with a warning as it is a inconvenience to treck to where the ticket actual goes on a court docket. It is juts not worth it to them often times, Try it NOTHING can happen to the driver. They did after all sign the promise to appear.

  6. @adamlz needs to be a man and get there. We have all wrecked cars. I totaled my dream car on my 22nd birthday. I've driven 2 of them since them. Suck it up and quit making excuses. You didn't even flip over, the car was barely totalled. Had the structural pieces pieces not gotten tweaked a tad, it would have been a 50k repair.

  7. Of course the americans would know a lot about smuggling, Matt did not smuggle parts into the good o·l us of a they were in clear view for loading onto the plane !!!!

  8. I actually met these guys on the Tail on Memorial Day weekend. Sorry about keeping you stuck behind a couple vettes. We did what we could with fully loaded cars. I hope you enjoyed the Tail and Tapoco

  9. ahhh tail of the dragon is so overrated unfortunately, just not many curvy roads on the east coast. Oregon roads are so much better for motorcycles and great handling cars. Glad that GT3 got back on the road!
