  1. The price on that coin shooter shows the difference in the economy of the past to present. Obviously there are a lot of things that affect this, but if we brought mining and manufacturing back to the U.S. it would be a huge step to going in the right direction.

  2. to be fair, the fuzz buster was designed to pick up the signals and frequencies of radar equipment made in the past, not modern equipment. modern equipment is much more sleek, efficient, and discreet with its signal range, accuracy, and focus. This means it makes it alot harder for things like radar scanners to pick up a modern speed gun.

  3. My olds 88 or 89 Olds cutlass had an alarm if your turn signal was on for too long. I didn't understand why all the cars didn't have them.
I remember the early radar detectors would go off near stores because the old automatic door sensors used radar.

  4. Older radars probably had stronger signal because the tech wasn't there yet to read weak reflection. That radar buster might have worked a lot better with old radars.

  5. Dumbasses use a glass baby bottle 🍼. They didn't have plastic baby bottles in the 60 or 70 or the early 80s. And never use any plastic items that plug in that the plastic is more than 20 to 30yrs old. It's shot out at that age. Unless it's like commercial or industrial grade plastic. And those aren't BPA-free, they full of toxicity.

  6. There are some MOT centres here in the uk still using that decelerometer as a way to check brakes. They measured G and were routinely calibrated. That tool was how it was done everywhere before in ground roller brake testers became the standard

  7. That brake checker is interesting. I wonder how it knew they started braking after getting up to speed? It doesnt look like there's a button or anything (i thought maybe the cop would press it with his foot after telling the inspectee to start braking)

  8. The toll gun is awesome until you think of the scenario where a toll booth attendant sees a driver approaching while loading what appears to be a firearm. IIRC, back in the day, there were machine-only lines and human occupied lines, and the human occupied lines typically had a mechanical collector as well.
