If you're older than 32, there are people YOUNGER THAN YOU who lived under a tyrannical police state. In fact, in Russia today, they still do live under a similar type of plutocracy. If not for that, maybe people would be willing to accept Russia and Russians, but with all this history, no. Save your animosity. This hatred exists for reasons written in blood.
