  1. The Groom of the Stool used to clean the monarch’s anus with a wash towel, a bowl, and a dry towel. That profession was actually considered prestigious because quite often the Groom of the Stool was privy of the king’s/queen’s decisions of the state.

  2. @4:30
I was 16 when my pops came home and told me he lost his job to one of those new fancy robot icemen, or Refigerator Perry’s as we used to call them when they first descended down on us. They took our whole darn town by 1929. We have stayed hidden in the Appalachians until the day we have the numbers to take back our jobs and our traditional way of life.

I have been amongst you enslaved people for sometime. I’ve seen how you don’t even see all the automatons taking all your jobs. As it started with the fridge and evolved through your civilization from every palm pilot taking personal assistants livelihoods away, to every drone deploying packages or bombs it has permeated through every facet of your existence to listen to you as you wonder when AI will arrive.
I know it arrived back in 1929 when it took the last of the icemen, my father, John Connor. But the war rages on until T2: Judgement Day.

  4. We loved Maury, our Millman. He would always bring me & my sister a treat, especially around Christmas with a snowball ice cream. Snowballs were vanilla ice cream ball with coconut on the ouside. Those were the days.

  5. Has anyone mentioned Draymen ? Men with horse wagons (later pickup trucks) who would collect packages at railway stations in small towns and deliver them to businesses and individuals in the town. Even the railway stations in small towns are a thing of the past.
