Under no circumstances should you EVER talk to a cop……Unless it's a traffic violation. Traffic violations are the one situation you generally CAN talk your way out of. Anything else- never talk to the police. EVER.
Edit- When you are talking to a cop in regards to a traffic violation, don't be a dumbass. Or a smart-ass. Or a jackass. Use a little common sense.
Are you the ED who has the Solution?
I talked a cop out of a 100 mph over the limit ticket we found common ground of cars he had a few fast cars
Works for me.
You guys had a plug for a site that lets you search for cars nationwide filtering in ads from different sites but i cant find the site name, can you refresh my memory?
His voice is so fake
Facts
The important thing to know when talking to cops is what can be incriminating. In eds example he kept them focused on themselves, their state etc rather than talking about yourself.
The “shut up and don’t talk to cops” thing is about self incrimination. It’s also for people who aren’t wealthy, straight white men
Be nice to them there humans!
There's a distinct advantage he has here… Does he know what it is? 😂😂😂
He is exactly correct
He's right. Same goes for OSHA and MSHA.😂
Being white and rich helps 😂😂
Don't give away all our secrets. 😂
"Some people say" ya. Defense lawyers. Because all your expositioning will inevitably prevent your defense lawyer from putting up decent barriers.
If there was anyone on the planet who could talk the brass off a cop it would be Ed Bolian.
That my friend, is exactly what you should do! Being personable gets rewarded sometimes.
Good advice for white people
This guy is extremely smart
Deductive reasoning with a high degree of intelligence
He takes scenarios processes them on the very best or very worst out come and fine tunes the perfect at minimum at 50/50 situation
be sociable. friendly, and respectful and cops wont generaly be dicks.
"We are just here to cool our cars down!" -Yeah because you drove like a bat out of hell…. if you didn't your car is perfectly capable of cooling itself! idiot!
A felony ticket?
Which one is this?
Ask the Utah cop where he went on his mission
Ed could get a cop to sell him meth he's so good at talking
You got lucky dude. Your silver tongue is going to get you in trouble some day.
I always energetically & enthusiastically ask how their day going – BEFORE they get a word in. "Good afternoon, officer. How are you today?"
The shut your mouth bit only works if the cop in question is already trying to look for something and really wants to put something on you
Don't forget deniable plausibility.
Good call. Cops are usually cool if you're cool
Just say no-no to the po-po. 😊
Hello Ed!
It really depends on the officer. Some you can easily talk to. But others you have to shut your mouth.
I agree with Andrew Flusche…Lawyer in Virginia….Don't Talk to the Police! But….referring to Ed here…He's right in if you think you can talk your way out of the ticket, shutting up will guarantee you a ticket….and maybe more.
I dunno if it's possible, but it might be a good idea to link these to the full videos. If like to know the rest of the story, but I don't know what video it is.
This is horrible advice. Never speak to the police this guy is flat out wrong here.
Harder to screw a person you can relate or find common ground.
If he's bad, maybe I'm bad too.
I mean there is two schools of thought really, one is the way you go and try to manipulate them out of giving you a ticket, but that can inadvertently give them evidence for more things, they can probe you to admit guilt without knowing it, the other side of this is dont talk to cops which can make your situation in the moment worse in a lot of ways, but you will have an easier time in court and stops the cops from pressing forwards with searches and such
Why does Ed always talk like he's a radio host. Is that his real voice? lol
