35 thoughts on “Rebuilding A Flooded $2,000,000 McLaren P1 | Part 4

  1. I was lucky to meet Freddie at Mallory Performance when he was in the UK visiting Matt Armstrong……really nice guy and very open to just talk cars…good look with the rebuild Freddie

  2. Not a fan of McLaren after F1.

Too many transmission issues, build quality?, and engine does not "sound" great.

    Performance looks good, but….no soul!

    Just me.

  3. Man, it sounds like this is too expensive. You might have to go custom on this, use what you can, and add somembar work. Either offroad or drift style build?

  4. You will save literally hundreds of thousands of dollars if you laminate new carbon fibre parts yourself. It's not easy but it's easier than some of the other stuff you guys are doing, you could even get professionals to make the parts.

  5. Thank you for rebuilding this piece of art. Without YouTube this wouldn’t be possible i guess. But this car after beeing rebuild will be on earth for 1000 years minimum i guess. At some point in a museum.. maybe even with your story and videos. Just imagine people watching this in 1000 years. This will be like a coach for us now.

  6. "This car has technology from like the space shuttle."

Yea, I believe it. Charging those kinds of prices for 70's technology is totally something McLaren would do.

  7. Just discovered the channel. I can't wait to watch this build unfold. As for colour I liked that Volcano Orange you showed… or the teal. They were both great. Also as a Kiwi I loved the car in the Orlando showroom that paid homage to the New Zealand creator with his name and a little kiwi on the door.

  8. Hey Bro, I think you need to have a counter in the corner of the screen showing the number of man-hours spent working on this car, like from minute one…

  9. Hey, you could potentially save a lot of money on those harnesses by reusing them. The corrosion looks bad but as long as the wires are in good shape, just remove the pins and clean them. The modules are definitely toast but the wiring is more than likely good.
