5. The technology used to create AI needs to be put under social control so it's owned by everyone and used to better everyone's lives. In other words it shouldn't be privatized or owned by big corporations. It's a type of automation and it can be a great thing for musicians and working class people if it's socialized.

14. It's odd I just come across this after listening to most of their new album and thinking to myself that "it's so weird and distorted from genre, it feels like something A.I. would come up with.

You can't convince me that prompting AI for ideas is equivalent to creating an original work. If someone wanted to fuck around and was transparent about it, that's one thing. But claiming to create art and make money from it… Nah

19. I think it’s very interesting – Technology is rapidly evolving & we’re on the brink of the next huge tech boom. AI has always been a scary issue but when it comes to music & art it’s incredibly interesting to me. No longer will we have to pay $50 to an instagram artist to make a unique tattoo, we just type it into the generator & boom, new idea. That goes for every other aspect for what it’s generating, things that have always required human labour are eventually going to be weened out in the future so i’ll embrace it!!

21. To me, the whole fight about AI needs to start now. At the very least before we start talking about "sentience" because as far as I can tell we are nowhere near that. At the very least we need to start talking about how yet again, the ones at the top, the ones that control the companies that generate media are using AI to supplant the people whos livelihoods are in media creation. Whether its music, scriptwriting, acting ect.

    I refuse to just lay down and allow these greedy ass companies to rob us of our livelihoods in the name of greed masquerading as "progress". Especially in a world where you and I and everyone need to commodify our labor, skills or art in order to survive.

    If the powers that be in society want to automate everything even creative careers then we better start talking about UBI. AI advancing while UBI is a pipedream is a recipe for not just hurt feelings or ruined careers but societal collapse.

    And all of the people in careers where AI isnt on the horizon yet, that balk at our fight against it in the creative field need to understand that atleast we can justify our existence by saying a computer cant write a script or a song or create an original photo, it can only pull and borrow from other works and is only as "creative" as the ones who designed the software.

    Can you? If youre a brick layer or a bread maker or a number cruncher or a Human resources pencil pusher. Understand that labor unlike the arts cant make that same argument. You will be next.

    So I would behoove everyone in this Capitalist hellscape where we have to "make a living", needs to join us in demanding that AI should not just advance us out of our careers whatever they are OR we should all be just paid to live without worrying about "making money".

    Otherwise its only a matter of time before it comes for your job or your grown up kid's job and society will still demand we "make money". And when that happens you think the homeless population or the people who are drowning in debt are numerous now. Just wait.

    So yeah everyone should be joining in the fight against AI as a means for greedy companies to maximize profits. AI should be helping us find cures for cancer or how to solve climate change.

22. I think every technological advance and advantage in the past was automaticaly used in war, to conquer those who were weaker and to control masses. You can see our governments would be happy to control everyone and AI would have no problem to do the dirty job for them. I would rather stay free, without AI and focus on our own physical, mental and spiritual development.

39. I don’t want AI to replace the ACTUAL art made by REAL artists. For example, it always pisses me off when someone uses AI to replicate singers like Chester Bennington, Layne Staley, Corey Taylor and many others. It’s disrespectful, it’s insultin’, and it doesn’t even carry the legacy at all

40. AI is absolutely terrifying as far as I'm concerned. The ramifications of this s*** is beyond our comprehension at this point. Anyone can be framed anyone can be mimicked video evidence can no longer be trusted because it could easily be a i. Call me crazy but I think this is going to lead to some very bad s***.
