I hope you reported itโs whereabouts, and everything else you knew, to the authorities, ASAP!
Dude, you're a silly fool. position is 9/10 s of the law.
f40 is garbage in performance. my supra blows it away. my Ford pinto with a 5.0 also kills the f40.
The higher the price car is the Shader the people and salesman become โฆ
Finders fee?
Do you could have saved yourself a trip by just asking the serial numbers beforehand.
So did he report it, or did he let some other poor sap get screwed
With the way Ferrari is as a company they would make sure the owner or their family gets the car back โฆonly if he had purchased it though.
Thereโs a story from back in the 80,s with the NYC Mob ,They was stealing luxury cars by the hundreds and shipping them to Kuwait. where they received a new title . It was Roy Demeo from the Gambinos. Itโs a great story
Whats the laws on buying known stolen property to save it and return it?
If have low blowed them on price and still brought it
Steal it back
I would of bought it.
Why wouldnโt you go to the police?
Who cares stolen or not you should have bought it.
Those Ferrari chat rooms are great …. Needed a disassembly print out for a 87 testarossa 5min later here ya go ๐ฒ whoa
F50 for me
My first car was a 87 fiero GT with a F40 body kit and supercharged 3800 from a GTP.
Bro, thatโs 30 years ago nobodyโs looking for that car and thereโs a good chance that somebody just purchased a car and never registered it
If the owner got the insurance itโs not his. Itโs the insurance companyโs if anyone.
So, it might be able to be bought.
Annnndddddd snitch
When I was a kid my mom has a bright red Daytona and I thought it was this car ๐ Bragged to all my friends about it. One day she picked me up from school and my friend Stephen in 2nd grade was like โWhat the heck thatโs a Daytonaโ I was like yeah but a sweet one ๐ ๐ฉ
I really pity that poor f40 having to sit there ownerless๐ข
Thank you you saved me?? Confront them that itโs stolen as your in it driving off ๐๐๐ probably get a crazy reward for returning a gem once in someoneโs collection
The F40 was my favorite car as a kid so I purchased a scale model . Was bummed when I broke the clear plastic glass engine cover a year later.
In other words the nโranghetta stole it, and sold it to the yakuza.
Yakuza
A friend of mine bought a car in Japan that turned out to be stolen. He registered it, paid insurance on it, drove it for about a year and a half and it wasn't until he took it for service at a dealer that he was told it was stolen. And the dealer said he should take it to the police station and hand it in, if he felt like doing that.
Cars were built as a machine to be you from A to B. Due to stiff competition car makers started adding extras, refining cars so they could charge an extra premium. Marketing and add men started to sell cars not as machines but as life style choices an extention of who your really are. They could charge a massive premium if they pitched the cars right. Car makers make most profit on top end viecheles as they can overcharge people who are taken in by the hype. So basically they are buying overpriced machines to get them from A to B
Report that?
It is not the holy Grail quit with the madness
twist: the guy who block the deal just told him it was stolen so he can buy it for himself๐
Especially Palermo don't mess with the boys in that town
F50 is a significantly cooler car in every respect, sorry not sorry.
Jesus loves you god bless
Shoulda said "I'll think about it and call you in a day. I need to sleep on it." Then organize with the cops for a whole ambush to set up the thieves/scammers and get them arrested!
sigificantly under market? ion even care if itโs stole at that point shits mine now ๐๐
I'm sure that's not the whole story I'm sure he reported the stolen car to authorities
This guy looks like the owner of SIG. They just made a new video on the M338. Crazy
Missed on a good buy
Did you report the stolen car to the police ?
Was is not possible to find out who reported it stolen and work with them to get it back?
I'm not a ferrari guy but the F40 was half badass Muscle car and half exotic. A sophisticated monster..
๐
Legally that would be yours in that situation. Take the deal
I just want to thank this guy for backing out of this deal because I was the lucky guy who bought it after he backed out.
You flew to Japan, went to some abandoned warehouse, you see the car and then it finally dawns on u to run the serial number… U have too much money for your own good. Any normal hooman would have run the numbers before even looking at flights.
What about the cops?
