0:00 Intro
0:05 The engine was 2 quarts low on engine oil. The technician topped it up and the customer was only charged for the oil. The customer said they were going to wash off the engine bay themselves.
0:14 The customer’s insurance company paid to get a new fuel tank installed.
0:22 A brake accumulator supplies the required oil flow to ENGAGE the front and rear service brakes, and the accumulator supplies oil to DISENGAGE the rear parking brakes.
0:35 2017 GLE450
0:45 Anything besides the recommended brake fluid in the brake system will swell up all the seals and damage everything. The technician replaced all brake calipers, master cylinder, and ABS unit, flush all brake lines, and clutch master and slave cylinder.
0:57 “Sound system” was disconnected which fixed the customer’s concern.
1:17 The technician had to replace the washer fluid pump afterward.
1:32 The water drain to the crankcase vent was not the cause of the customer’s concern but the technician found it during his visual inspection and repaired it correctly.
1:41 The technician thinks that the customer had used a cut-off for some reason (maybe installed the pulley backward). A new P/S pump was installed.
1:54 Used engine was installed.
2:02 Any clue what this is that the mechanic found underneath the hood?
2:11 A new wheel and wheel studs were installed.
2:23 Really random but pretty funny so wanted to share what this technician found.
2:32 This clip was shared by a viewer on what he saw in the back of a customer’s car.
2:41 The customer had damaged the oil pan during installation.
2:46 An old trick but one that works great!
2:57 Outro. Thanks for watching!

41 thoughts on “Customer States Ticking Noise After Topping Up Engine Oil

  1. hey so i might be the idiot that just rolled in, and i feel like there’s a ton of mechanics in here that can help. this morning my truck was leaking what i think was coolant. it was kinda sticky and had a yellowish color. dad twisted off the coolant cap and it “exploded” with pressure and started steaming or smoking then refilled the coolant tank the coolant that was never pushed back into the tank. any ideas???

  2. An old roommate of mine related the following story. My roommate's mom ran a commune back in the late sixties and among the strange inhabitants were several farm animals. A nanny goat was sick and needed to see the vet, so mom loaded her into the back seat and drove with the kids up front with her to the vet's office. On the way she needed gas. This was the days of full service at most stations so that's what she got. As the attendant pumped the gas, he kept sneaking peeks through the back window at the goat. Finally, just as they were about to leave, he blurted out "I'm sorry ma'am. But that is the UGLIEST dog I've ever seen!"

  3. why these people do shit like that? they are brainless? most of the problems can be easy solved but you need basic knowledge, they are too stupid to take care of the car? its good we have in EU

    technical review ones per year.

  4. Some things I can get, they suck, they’re stupid, sure whatever you messed up your power steering pump and pulley, I can see how that happened.

But just pouring whatever fluid wherever all good the car will work it out… what the actual fk

  5. People please stop doing stupid things to your car if you don’t know how to properly fix the problem then don’t do it take it to the mechanic this is beyond ridiculous on some of these mechanical issues

  6. Had an oil change done in Apache Junction in April before heading back to Wisconsin for the summer. The Oil change kid jammed the Dip stick in the tube so hard It broke the top off trying to check the oil. The owner tried to get the broken dipstick out of the tube by drilling and taping the plastic part. Removed the Whole dip stick tube from the block removed the broken dipstick reinstalled the dipstick tube. Next day I checked th oil and it was 2 qts low went back and tey added the 2 quarts. Drove back to wisconsin. When I got here it was a qt low add 1 qt. yesterday my son was inspecting my car and wanted to know where the oil stains on the drive way were coming from. Long story short the guy reinstalled the dipstick tube wrong it was more than an inch above where it was supposed to be not in the block so the dip stick read 2 qts low. OH that was Pateros Transmission 1205 Apache Trail, Apache Junction, AZ 85120

  7. Why do they all decline? how can they legally decline? here in Sweden shit like that wouldnt fly at all by the state car inspection, there would be fines and whatnot

  8. I was a service advisor at a Lexus dealership and this spoiled brat of a kid ,18 years old, had a brand new IS 300 bought for him by grandparents. This was 2004 btw, the car got flatbedded in as the transmission was toasted, with only like 12,000 miles we were thinking WTF how does this happen. A mechanic and myself walk out to the car and r glancing it over then we notice he had drag radials on the drive tires (rear tires) it quickly went from warranty to customer pay after seeing that. Don't worry the grandparents paid for everything since this bum didn't work.

  9. Yes sir, we have figured out the problem. This engine is known for its ticking issues. we rebuilt the thing and fixed it, that will be $800

  10. You know you've watched too many of these videos when your first thought when watching that clip about the subwoofer was to go to a home improvement store and buy a light switch to wire in and cut the circuit when the car is off.
