These celebrity scandals were big news in the 1970s and everyone was talking about them. If the internet was around then these stories would have been all over it. How many of these do you remember?

  1. Jane fonda also got borderline black listed from Hollywood over her Vietnam antics, and deservedly so. I wouldn't even have given her the work out tapes gig.

  2. It’s amazing how natural people looked back then. Some had crooked teeth or a bump in their nose, things everyone can have and still be beautiful. Nowadays all those celebrities look so made. I don’t say that they look bad still there is nothings natural about them anymore.

  3. Sid Viscious, his mother shot him up. Thinking he would get convicted.
Mothers turning their children on to i.v. drugs was an idea new to us at th e time.
Parents doing dope with their own babies is a common occurrence now.

  4. Janis Joplin's death wasn't a scandal, … IT WAS A TRAGEDY …. !!!!! (We're not off to a good start … ) and Jimi's death was, LIKEWISE, … wait for it … A TRAGEDY …. the stupid move to allow being filmed on a Viet Cong anti-aircraft gun wasn't one of Jane's "finer" moments. But, at that time, she was a spoiled brat who hadn't quite grown up .. she did so in time and became a success (professionally and financially) … Polanski is a BONIFIDE SCANDAL AND SHOULD BE APPROPRIATELY TRIED IN A COURT OF LAW!!!! ….. Liz Taylor was a FLOOZY, plain and simple …. let's move on … no need to discuss Sid and Nancy. Because of the indifferent world in which we are forced to live, they never stood a chance … Bob Crane. … A poster child for religous hypocracy. Morals on Sunday and six days of Sodom and Gomorrah. Followed by a day of faux morals and six more days of Sodom and Gomorrah … and so it went …..

  5. About the 90s,Fonda went to a Vietnam veterans group to ask forgivness of her antics. Since then,Ive asked Vietnam vets if they forgive her. Minus Christians, who say say they have to forgive her;the guys who were in the rear with the gear say yes,but the guys who where doing the shooting and being shot at,say no.

  6. I used to watch the Sonny and Cher show with Nana when I was a teenagerv in Australia. I never knew they were supposed to be funny. They were just despicable to each other between songs. Awful awful show.

  7. No one was surprised when movie or rock stars died from drugs and alcohol in the 70's till..well these days.

Yea Jane Fonda proud supporter of the Democratic communist party and a personal friend of the Clinton's and was a close friend of Jeffrey Epstein.

  8. I used to enjoy Hogan's Heroes but after learning about the history of the time period, I really detest that a COMEDY was made about it!😣😣🤬

  9. I can still remember and picture in vivid color exactly where I was and what I was doing on the day Elvis died. I was coming out to my car parked on the nature strip and about to get in to drive to work when my mate that lived across the road from me yelled out to me – "Elvis died". It didn't sink in until sitting at work and listening to the news reports on the radio. That time has gone by so quickly – time – do not waste it, it only comes around once. CHEERS from AUSTRALIA.

  10. Elvis was found dead in his bathroom….. he was in there for some time and his girlfriend at the time Ginger knocked on the door. We have to keep the truth alive here.

  11. Who profited from Bob Crane's death? Not his friend Carpenter, for sure. For your information Bob Crane was not circumcised. Now, how do you think I know that?

  12. Boy- the drugs were really flowing back in the 70’s- and people think it’s bad now. Well, the world itself is a horrible place now, compared to back then, but drug use seemed worse back then.

  13. The Bartenders at Studio 54 were literally selling cocaine over the bar on the 2nd floor and that wasn't the worst thing that was going on the 2nd floor

  14. This scandals you have collected were so huge that many of them were known here in Italy, too.
Here we had the Paul Getty III kidnapping, back then. The (initial) ransom was $85.6 mln (in 2022 dollars). In the end they will pay $19.7 mln. The grandfather, Paul Getty, paid the ransom, but he wanted the money back with an yearly interest at 4% rate.
They made a movie, recently (2017), All the Money in the World directed by Ridley Scott.

  15. The moralists have restricted us to utter boredom. Even the books are boring. Same subject and no change in the vocabulary. I lived through the 70s and I had fun. Life was fun. Now I am so bored with everything. You can't do this or that because it is dangerous. No wonder the younger generation are bunch of nambi pambi, spineless, entitled, spoiled brats who can barely walk 2 feet without checking their damned cellphones!!!!!!!!
