46 thoughts on “Mastering Timing When Growing Plants – From the Stash Podcast Ep. 59

  1. I have a question. I’ve never done any last and I’m wondering; when you tie something down, do you ever let it back up? Thanks you guys for this show. I got an email this morning from AC Infinity telling me my humidifier would be shipped in May. Pigeons I wrote back and thanked them for being a sponsor.

  2. I like to use the clear Bonnie cups. I can see the roots then. I just set that cup inside of a regular black pot the same size to keep light out. 💚✌️

  3. I plant in 10 gallon pots from the start. I don't see the logic behind tansplanting.. Anyone got any comments on the benefits of transplanting?

  4. When Iam going away. What I do is lower my lights to the bare minimum. Than water your plants the day you are gonna leave heavy. And than when u get back in a week. You will still be a Lil wet. Another trick I do is cover the top layer of soil with either cardboard or aluminumfoil. I did this mid flower 🌼. And was truly successful.

  5. Great show guys a lot of good points there I can relate to 👍and as usual some I can take on board. Always enjoy 🙏☕🚬

  6. That time you switch from drying to curing is purely personal preference and you can play around with a bunch of different techniques but the real question is if you grew some fire pack or not. You can mess up the dry/cure but you have to make mistakes to learn. Washing buds can help your mess ups or bird shit covered nugs. Good luck. 👍

  7. When I was young and we came across weed that was dry, we'd throw a orange or tangerine peel in the jar for a little while. Adds moisture and some citrus flavor.
Love the show and you guys are great.
Sorry if this was mentioned below. Too lazy to scroll through the comments. Haha.
Happy Mothers Day to all Mama's out there.

  8. I'm an old dude, been growing for years. I have to admit that the harvest, dry, and cure is the tricky part for me still.
A slow dry at lower temps is key though.
Also, I gotta agree with Chris. If my stems are dry enough to snap, I have already passed the optimal time to cure.
One last thing; you mentioned keeping a notebook (40:30) . My memory is not what it used to be, so I have been keeping a "garden journal". It really helps me stay on top of my feeding schedule, etc. And, I can review what was happening on previous runs, to refine my process. Especially helpful when "breeding "

  9. I used to pull 10-12 weeks but over time I switched to a 2/3 bronze trichomoniasis. But I only play with indica strands.

  10. The 3 of them should do grow offs where they challenge each other to a grow competition but with a twist to make it interesting each one would have to grow with a new technique or method selected by polls from the Fans a seasonal challenge for example 1 has to use fogoponics 1 has to grow outside in the same time frame as the others and the 3rd has to grow within a set budget limit on both gear and nutrients all 3 the same strains same plant count as the end compare yield potency smell taste height b4 harvest and then let Fans vote on a winner 🏆 new content it's engaging and you 3 learn all kinds of grow techniques outside your comfort zone can probably get sponsored each season as to avoid paying for much to make the content

  11. What to see how your roots are doing from seed or clones into a Dixie cup
Use two cups one clear one colored cup
Place your plants in clear cup with your medium drop them in a colored cup then when you want to see what’s happening just lift and look make sure both have drain holes

And what do you say about trimming root by cutting off long strands
I’ve done this and have not seen any negative effects

  12. 62% in va was dry and I mean like beyond dry. You couldn’t pick up the bud without it crumbling apart and turning to dust. Idk what I did wrong guys it was my first run so I can only assume it was all my fault but yeah that’s definitely what happened

  13. The first grow I ever did I grew on the roof of the porch during summer…. I couldn’t even see it properly I’d just water everyday with a hose from the ground. I never added nutes not once. After a while it was huge so I got up there with pliers and literally broke it at the base and bent it in half and tied the broken end down. I kept up watering from the ground. Kept this up for about 4 months there about. Eventually I got up on the roof to get it down and ended up with nearly 3lbs of weed. Not bad for my first grow no fertiliser No anything.

  14. Regarding the old weed not coming back to life I disagree as of recently ..
I had a big harvest last year , and I totally forgot about buds that I didn’t even trim , left in a closed trashbag , totally completely dry like powder almost .. I trimmed them and put them in a har with x3 62% bovidas , 1 hour later the bud is fire and most of the terpenes are there !! Incredible .. sometimes when you harvest a lot and search trough your old trimmings you find a bag with some gold in it 🙂
    Great video guys !!
