    Those 🦕 who are complaining about AI will be gone within couple of years or decades the most, the new generations will be taking charge and will be driving our world to a technological transformation.

17. I dont think the 'AI' we have now or its fundamentals are anything to worry about in terms of humanity. What we are developing now is simply the interface to a real independently thinking AI later. The only thing the LLMs are going to do it get rid of about 50% of the work force over the next decade. Thing about it 30-50% of all jobs are just talking, no developed skill just a human interface to translate what a person wants to another person or computer.

18. I just tried some of those examples and nothing worked as well as the presentation. Chatgpt was still much more useful.

19. Google already has an immeasurable amount of power of what people are able to see on the internet. They are literally the red tinted goggles of the internet. With the extra power of AI, I'm not excited at all. People dont realize what is happening right before their eyes.

    edit: But these don't really matter to most, unless they can use them locally on their PCs, and the models being completely uncensored. That's why the open source models will completely dominate in the near future even if they are lacking in skills right now.
    I will keep using Stable Diffusion locally to do anything I want, instead of whatever any of the big companies provide. More freedom + more power = win.
    As for LLMs, some 7b and 13b uncensored models are way better for a lot of things compared to the extremely restricted ChatGPT or Palm.

27. Bing or Chat GPt is just too woke. Bing is just something else…whenever asked a simple question based on incidents or political instances Bing just runs away. They have tweaked it in such a way that it never answers those serious questions.

30. It seems like OpenAI will be Mozilla and Google like Microsoft Explorer. It doesn't matter how good your product is. What matters most is if your competitor's product is decent enough but can reach more people. Huge mistake to release GPT-4 as pay only.

37. Ai talking to ai for business communications may seem funny, but networking protocols essentially do this for years in the background. As you say, it just let's people do people work abstracting away the mundane. It's not that weird anymore imho

43. Actually, nothing new. There are many AI apps already in existence doing the same stuffs.

44. How is creating fake images in order to depict a false reality progress? This is the issue with AI systems in general – they enable people to blur the lines between what is real and what isn't even further. I don't see how this will be anything other than a net negative for humanity, and will distract us from our more primary objectives as a civilisation. When human can no longer tell the difference between what is real and what isn't, society and faith in our institutions will suffer enormously.

46. I really worry about non SEO optimized sources of information being relegated to practically archeological corners of the internet. Many of them have better information than the regurgitated garbage or paid advertisements via google
