5. I know, I know. It's the internet and everyone is an expert. But, I don't really see cables slowing exp thieves down much, they will see it 2 or 3 times and add bolt cutters/lock cutters to their kit and the cutters will pop pop pop through the steel cables. But then a lock only keeps an honest man honest, even the world's best locks are not guaranteed to keep doors closed.

16. You dont WANT something like this to be “stealthy”. You want it to be OBVIOUS. If you were trying to be fast since you were right in front of someones house – personally – I’d take one look at all those cables from that one option, and say “fck that” – and go find an easier target instead. ONE CAT is not worth increasing your chances of getting caught.

As a mechanic running my own shop in Denver this problem is really bad, added with recent law changes for emission switching to California. standards, meaning all cats sold in Colorado have to meet cali, which are about $500 more at least. The cops here don't enforce or investigate. Girl last week pays for secured parking, they took it and after replacing it when she added fuel it poured out from holes drilled to steal her gas. I just put a piece of exhaust pipe to replace the missing cat. She has Arizona tags, told her to drive there and buy one.

23. Im pretty sure the Cat Shield is the one my Toyota dealer put on my car for 400 bucks. Thieves cut through it and stole the converter a year after I got it put in.

    Another thing you have to consider is that Prius is a low-clearance vehicle. With these shields on you’re going to bottom out on hills or worse.

    After putting the cat shield on my Prius I couldn’t take it up my inclined driveway anymore. And in the end it didn’t work anyway.

24. Thieves stole my catalytic converters off my 2005 tundra on separate dates, 3 weeks apart. First time they stole passenger cat and I was not home. I woke up to second time and almost caught theives with my 38 special. My truck sits next to my bedroom, It took 5 seconds for each cut. Last words I heard was 'Lets go lets go'. By the time I got out the front door they were gone. Insurance totaled the car. Today (10 months later ) I am installing the Cat Security Shield & extension on my newly purchased 2020 tundra. I am also installing the $30 gimmick alarm for kicks. Thanks guys, great video!!!

26. My cat converter literally got stolen 2 days ago. This is why I watched this. I wanted to know what the best option was for anti-theft. I did file a police report and a claim with my insurance. And now I'm trying to find options to help me keep the replacement safe. Thank you for this video.

28. All it would take is for "the authorities" to set up bait cars and nab them in the act, but there's no money in that kind of operation, so it persists unchallenged.

29. The cat clamp wouldn't have taken anywhere near that long if you'd have used the cutoff wheel first, and just cut the cables at the clamps and then cut the pipe for the cat. Cat Clamp is retarded garbage, and realistically the worst product you showed. Not only would they get your cat in less than twice the time without it, they could take the clamps and sell them at the flea market with some hardware store cable for $100. Stupid product. Absolutely stupid as all hell.
