  1. PRO TIP: pressurized distilled or wiffy water (200-500 psi) to clean and rubber tipped vacuum hose to extract….then dry ice blast (delicate setup) to remove corrosion ,,,,you can dry ice blast soot of old books that have been damaged by smoke from fires…..

  2. Like the joker once said “AND HERE WE GO” this will be something that if you get this completed the world over will know and respect you as the man who risked it all in a dream and got it done against all odds…

  3. Freddy! Open up those computers and scrub them down with rubbing alcohol and leave them out to dry before you try to power anything up! That will at least give you a 50/50 chance of them working.

  4. Never in my life will I have enough money to waste $600k on a rolling cesspool. Even if I ever do have that much money, I still wouldn’t do it. But, it’ll be fun to watch Freddie lose his mind and a fortune trying to fix it.

P.s. put your phones on silent when recording

EDIT: the connectors in the outside of the vehicle will likely be fine. It’s all the connectors inside the car that aren’t weather sealed, as well as literally every electrical component in the interior, as well as most of the splices in the wiring harness that will require replacing. Basically everything (on the exterior) that goes bad on rust belt cars

  5. STOP!! A flooded HV battery pack can be very dangerous. It can have isolation loss to the chassis and/or HV relays that are partially conducting even with the controls off. You must verify isolation before working on the HV powertrain. There could be permanent high voltage on the system even when everything appears to be switched off due to flood damage. Get a defibrillator and a friend who knows how to use it any time you work on this car. Do not work on it alone.

  6. 13:00 Tavarish is right, it does not work the same way at all with Li-ion cells. If the cell voltage gets too low the copper current collectors on the anode (-) side can start dissolving and form short circuit paths inside, and cause a fire and/or explosion later. The battery module might have an internal controller to prevent recharging once the voltage falls below a certain threshold (1.2V or so per cell) for extended periods of time. You should take it apart and see if the cells can be replaced though. Try to keep the controller connected to another higher resistance voltage source so it doesn't lose all supply and potentially forget its calibration or activation.

  7. Love the Chanel and the challenge. However you won't be fixing anything or driving anything if you and your crew go blind from those lithium battery chemicals and flood crap getting into your eyes. You have people working for you and youngsters watching and emulating you, lead by example. You are a great role model, wear the damn safety glasses. 😎👍

  8. i feel like for the amount of hyper expensive stuff on that car id have a dry ice blasting company come by and clean anything electrical. anything with corrosion, also im super suprised he didnt give it at least a fresh water rinse.

  9. As much as this is going to be fun to watch this car will be a strictly track only and show car. Very little possibility of getting this car retitled, registered and road worthy with the tittle designation it has right now.

  10. Use Safety glasses! Use Safety glasses! Use Safety glasses! Use Safety glasses! Use Safety glasses! Use Safety glasses! Use Safety glasses! Use Safety glasses! Use Safety glasses! Use Safety glasses! Use Safety glasses! Use Safety glasses! Use Safety glasses! Use Safety glasses! Use Safety glasses! Use Safety glasses! Use Safety glasses! Use Safety glasses! Use Safety glasses! Use Safety glasses! Use Safety glasses! Use Safety glasses! Use Safety glasses! Use Safety glasses!

  11. The second he pulled that drain plug the clock started ticking on that engine salt water in the engine is good sign its when its drained and air starts corrosion an engine is ruined see it on boats all the time the can be be completely fine drain the salt water fill engine right to top with diesel leave it till your ready to take it down to block for checks and timing parts and oil pump replacement 100 percent guarantee he gets this running he does it right unknown is the hybrid stuff and battery

  12. Will this ever be right.
    Feel
Like you’re just going to find issues non stop. I was bidding on a 911
Gts water damaged after seeing this…no chance!

  13. I am definitely excited for the next episode. I wonder how much of the engine has water logged? I wish you all the best Tavarish!

This series I am definitely keeping an eye on. I just hope I don't have to hear more crunching noises 😄

The day he manages to start the car and take it on the road is the day the internet will break! It will be stuff of history

  14. Now that hoovie is seemly out of the game, I would like to officially nominate Freddy’s channel to “the dumbest automotive channel in all of YouTube”

  15. Wouldn’t it be wild to know that the folks who actually built this are tuning in. Has to be satisfying knowing some of the main connectors are salvageable.
