4. What they dont go over.. Duty Cycle. The old transformer welders will let you weld nearly all day, that new one.. Where is the endurance test? Run it for longer then 40 mins.. We'll see how long it welds before it shuts off… Also your "easier to power".. If USA wasnt backward as fuck.. Youd have 240v coming from your domestic sockets lol.

9. Standard single phase primary transformers give you 2 secondary phases…. 120 phase to ground, 240 phase to phase. Need 2 or 3 primary phases to get 3 phase secondary from your transformer bank

13. Tried the auto darkening hoods. Honestly I like my flip lense. If you have a good lens it's not cloudy. It does take a little practice to get used to, but it does have advantages. One such is backfeeding with tig.

19. great video, you should try out stick welders next. pipe liners live by the older welders because they create a softer more consistent arc!

22. In germany i have 3 Phase in my Workshops. I have a 16 amp socket and a 32 amp socket, both with 380 volts.

I'm 16 and I pound of PlayStation 2 when I was 10 years old in an Alleyway with an Xbox One X 10 Fox and anyways at R2 ps2's 1 PS1 and they were all soaked with water so I let him drown for dance. Like 4 5 days I tried them all out and they weren't all and they all worked and I was like what the hack PS2 Beast

36. For mig welding the new high tech machines are good for beginners. If you took both those machines and used them to stick weld the old brick would definitely outshine the inverter machine.

40. I’ve got a newer mug machine maybe early 2000’s and a stick/tig machine from the late 70’s and I gotta say the old one is a much better machine but I don’t love MIG to begin with.

42. I had a bad ass welding teacher. Basically a father figure for me. He made me learn to stick weld with those incredibly old Welding Helmets. So after a year of welding stick with non auto darkening helmets and switching to all new stuff. That makes you feel incredibly good

43. The problem with using a generator to power a welder is the voltage from most generators is "dirty" power and fluctuates quite a lot.

46. To any people watching this and thinking about getting into welding the best piece of advice I can give you is to always PUSH your weld puddle not PULL as was done in this video, still love the video but you’ll get much better results!

49. Miller clear light, Lincoln 4c, Jackson boulder tech, esab sentinal, anything with trucolor you'll be amazed at the picture. And your bend test you shouldn't see anything and the metal should break before your weld
