46 thoughts on “Navigating Tolerance Breaks! – From the Stash Podcast Ep. 75

  1. I use medically so i was against tolerance breaks for the longest time. Unfortunately 2 years ago i got something called cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome, and the only way i can still smoke and not have symptoms is by taking regular breaks. It was nice to feel what its like to be 100% sober for the first time when i did my first break, and my first smoke after the break was like my first smoke ever. When my tolerance starts getting high i just dial it back or take a one week break now.

  2. wold be interesting to play with the format and start with the facts, comment while fresh and then all the fun shop talk at the end. idk just a thought.

  3. o·ver·dose

    noun

    /ˈōvərˌdōs/

an excessive and dangerous dose of a drug.

i think thry are not using the word right and it subracts from the word's utiity and impact. its called basteredized? idk seems off to me but thats just my opioion. still an interesting topic as a whole.

  4. I'm a mum of 2 little ones so I only smoke at night on the weekends have a joint or 2, then I'm always feeling on cloud 9 lol. Thanks for another great podcast boys ❤️

  5. Absolutely no thank you people that have medical pain should not take any time off or they can go to the government and eat painkillers
Perhaps I'm just a jackass that has no idea I would suggest that I'm not

  6. I get a tolerance break monday to friday, sixteen hours each day. 8 hrs sleep, 8 hrs work and the other 8 hrs belongs to me!!

  7. I'm on week 7 of a self induced break. Mostly trying to land a better paying job amongst this soaring inflation. That being said this is the first time I've ever stopped foe longer than a week since my 1st puff. It's hard for the 1st week or two but it gets easier with time. I'm so hyped to get rocked on my ass though 🤪. The worst is being somewhere and just having that rank dank smell blast you. Makes me tear up inside 😢 but no fear cheebah shall return me to good cheer! Love the shows 👍

  8. Never understood people that smoke 3 bowls in a row. I really takes that much to be alright? 🙄 yea right. Hurry up we gotta hurry up and smoke it all now 😑

  9. Tolerance is a bitch. When you smoke smoke you don't even get "high" anymore. It turns into a habit and you just feel normal after. The laziness and anxiety is there but the high isn't. I need to quit for a minute…. Lol

  10. After my stellar year of college I found my calling and joined the military. After I got out my job still did not allow me to smoke or consume so my tolerance break was 36 years. I had three weeks off of work so I consumed once at the beginning of my break and it took two hits and I was on another planet. The way that cannabis has come along in all these years from the ditch weed I smoked as a young man is incredible.

  11. Last time I had to take a break was before working night shift at a Walmart got the job and smoked a few times with the manager lol. Im in the single strain boat right now 🙁 but at least I have 3 different strains in week 5 of flower. I also remember those days when I would hit the bowl, carb and mouth piece when I was scrounging.

  12. Awesome episode guys. For me, I hadn't smoke in a couple years and then Three Days Grace song 🎵 Burn 🔥 just lit a bowl…so High 😎🤘…I haven't looked back lol 😆

  13. Just finished a 30 day T-break and I think a lot of people would be surprised ty find what I did, addiction withdrawals. Especially if you're frequent a dabber and take a break, you're most likely gonna to experience some issues with appetite and food consumption. I'm a fairly light daily flower smoker and it took me almost 2 weeks to get my appetite and ability to eat normally under control so it's probably good to take breaks every now and then. Just wanted to throw that out there🤷🏼‍♀️🤘

  14. How ironic this comes out when I'm forced to take a tolerance break due to severe allergies. Had the best harvest and found my prize pheno just before being unable to breathe. Now I cough my guts out as I stare at the best weed I've ever had.

  15. I used to smoke all day, everyday. Stopped for 4 years for work, started again and my unconscious approach has changed. I enjoy cannabis so much more now. Often go a week without smoking, but sometimes smoke everyday. I ask myself if i really want it, and smoke if i feel, but let it go if I'm not feeling it. It is honestly far and away the best approach for me. My desire to overconsume has been controlled, but the positivity associated with cannabis is 100 fold. Cannabis is finally a 100% positive ingredient of my life.

  16. Just went for a 5 week tolerance break longest time in about 12 years just to prove to myself that I could do it if I needed to. That first smoke after was definitely worth it.

  17. Good show guys 👍 unavoidable breaks here in Scotland, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿when you can't grow your own and all you can get 🐕🐕🐕 😂😂

  18. I think that if your body has a medical need for cannabis your tolerance level gets higher. I have taken many breaks, none of them voluntary, since 1970. I took a break for 14 years + due to CDL requirements and random testing. Worst 14 years! When I start again, my medical needs were so far behind, that I literally could smoke all I could and not get a buzz at all. I thought all the weed went bad for a while. Nice episode guys!

  19. I went to prison and was absent from weed for a yr in county jail before I went up to prison. Got to prison and they had some fire skunk shit in there. Man was I lit.
Got out of prison and was on parole for 2.5 yrs and smoked weed just about every other day or so. Got drug tested about once a month and never popped dirty for weed. Lol. I don't know how that ever happened but i think they really didn't care about weed. This was in nys back in 2016 when pot wasn't even legal but have spoke to people on parole to this day and they don't care if you smoke weed now. Shits awesome in my opinion.

  20. My Boy Take 6 months off and 6 months on on smoking for the year and he be lit. I'm more like morning before you go to work a spliff after work a spliff when I get home a spliff and nighttime a split.lol⚡💥🔥🌋🇯🇲😎🎄🍵

  21. I have a close friend who uses medically and it seems he is addicted the same way I am recreationally! I believe breaks are Good for all people even you P420! We all need to Sit with our issues/demons/sickness w/out cannabis every now and then. Even if only short time periods.

  22. My biggest fear is harvesting only one cultivar. Also it’s my biggest weakness because I never focus on one plant long enough to see it’s potential 🤷🏿‍♂️
Gotta keep some OG around though 💯
