0:00 Intro
0:05 2010 Jeep JK. The technician said: “They never said anything more but they did get it fixed.”
0:18 No issues with the power steering which is what it initially came in for. But a pulley broke off of the tensioner (which the customer did not notice or mention anything about). Funny enough the belt managed to stay on somehow and not fly off. The technician said the belt was from NAPA (Dayco brand).
0:32 They removed the caliper covers and the noise went away. People install these so it looks like they have Brembo brakes on their vehicles.
0:44 A new lower control arm bolt was installed and the other one was tightened. If the one bolt was loose, it could have had the other one installed but it was loose as well.
0:55 Oil leak was from the oil pan gasket. Securing the tray to the CV axle and exhaust is not the best place to attach it too. Over time the exhaust will burn the cable, and the CV axle will rub through it.
1:09 No extra info.
1:23 The technician said this was done at another Dodge dealership in his city and said he’s unfortunately seen this happen a handful of times that customers will pay to get work done and it never gets done.
1:37 Phone mount arm was hitting the hazard button. The technician said: “the only thing I can say is that the phone holder part blocks the view of it hitting the button from the driver’s seat. Her Dad who paid the bill didn’t find it as funny as the whole shop did.”
1:42 The technician said the purge valve was not installed from the factory and that’s why the check engine light was on.
1:49 Incorrect brake booster, so the master cylinder could not be installed correctly onto it. The master cylinder was also loose, with only 2 nuts installed on the back side and the brake system + master cylinder were not installed correctly. When you install a new master cylinder you need to bench bleed it before installing.
2:06 Jeep SRT8. It needed 2 new calipers, all new rotors, and pads.
2:20 The technician told the customer on what they needed as it’s a fire hazard on what they currently have, but they declined repairs.
2:29 At least they had a fuse for the wiring that the customer installed. It’s a little too big though lol.
2:36 “This happened at my friend’s shop they work on the county vehicles and they were doing routine maintenance and the tech didn’t have the post all the way on the frame and it slipped off it and they had to pay for a new bed. I happened to be in there when it happened and recorded the aftermath”
2:42 Needed a new battery and starter.
2:51 Maybe they had a bad oil leak and that was the “oil tray”. The customer did not mention anything about it.
2:57 1970 GMC C10.
3:08 Outro. Thanks for watching!

  1. 1:42 a local used car lot I have purchased several cars from (good dealer) had several VWs on the lot and I commented about it and the salesman immediately bemoaned about how aggravating they are because they can't keep the check engine lights off on them, "then why so many?" I asked, because every yuppy wannabe parent sending their kid to college asks for a VW

  2. SOME CARS JUST NEED TO BE JUNKED AND EVERYONE NEEDS TO STOP TRYING TO MAD MAX ISH UP THIS AINT THE APOCALYPSE YET WE HAVEN'T GOT TO THAT POINT YET MOST CARS STILL HAVE PARTS THEY SELL AT STORES AND MECHANICS THAT DO A DECENT JOB

  3. If you needed the advice about not letting tweakers work on your car, it was already too late for you. Those guys are basically "cycle-firearm-on-sight" as far as I'm concerned.

  4. My 2nd comment on one of your vids. ASE both Nissan/Chrysler, it's going to sound like a lie or I'm picking on a generation but …. if I'm lying, I'm dying … you couldn't have recorded this much material in the 90s-2000

This can only mean one thing, I'm sorry but the video game generation never learned life skills and limitations.

Short and sweet, started out as Carpenter, Union Trained Journeyman bla bla bla, School for IT (computers), school for HVAC (I'll stop here) I didn't know what I wanted to do. I settled as Mechanic and Corrections Officer (yes I had no life, but he have everything we needed for my family)

I've seen some shit but nothing this bad. I did brakes on a VW Jetta, lady complained the car wouldn't move, me being young I immediately started questioning myself like WTF did I do wrong. I get in drive it around the parking lot, park it, she says what did you do, I said nothing. She gets in and says see, it's doing it again, I look in the window, the e-brake is on, I said, the e-brake is on … what, the e-brake, I reach across and let down the brake lever …. she said and I quote …. I never use that ๐Ÿ‘€ I mean I'm old school, still turn my wheels towards the curb parked downhill and away uphill but I still use the e-brake

Another time a customer declined repair on a beautiful orange T/A clean as F too, they elected to push it out the bay with the drivers door open … needless to say the door got bent forward towards the front end

Best story: Customer with a TBI S-10 came in, needed a fuel pump, couldn't afford it, his dad had owned it prior, had already cut the bed prior to access the pump with some fancy sheet metal work with a door and all. His dad replaced it in like 45min and drove away ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘ my man! now that's a DIY'r … slow clap!

  5. How to prevent cat theft in 3 easy steps:

    1. Cut off your own cat yourself.
    2. Clamp straight pipe where the cat used to be.
    3. When you have an annual inspection, quick swap the straight pipe for the cat temporarily; then swap it back.

They can't steal your cat if your car doesn't have one.
