Datura – Coming Soon

Directed by Zak Pinchin

Lyrics:

Do me a favour close that window
Keep the heating in.
There’s a fire in the car park
I see it smouldering.
Heard my neighbour kill his own dog
For going in the bins.
Now his world is overflowing
Can smell the stink of it.

We’re just stumbling in the darkness
Leave the tv on.
She left the money in the kitchen
Woke up and it was gone.
We’re still staring at the white flame
Huddling for sun.
Burning out our eyes
We’re scared & we’re alone.

  1. I really feel the dark, twisted, suspenseful atmosphere of this track. Like time marching on towards something you dread in the future. Like the inevitable fall of night on every good day. There’s so much noisy tension in that bass, and yet the song still manages to be an ear-worm at the same time. I can’t wait for the band to explore more of this experimental sound!

  2. was so not expecting a new song from these guys but so pleasantly surprised and love it all to much, defiantly going to be a favorite for a long time like foxglove.
