15. Ya'll… I don't think many of the commenters understand the level of openness and honesty recovering addicts have to abide by. I also don't think people in the comments understand that it's very easy for recovering addicts to fall into the role of victim, and having open and honest people in your corner to always keep you accountable for your actions is a way of life for some in recovery and that's why many of them have sponsors. I get it. Some things come off harsh, but addicts don't need kitten gloves or people always enabling bad behavior. They need realism and honesty. Ps. Dem shoes mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

36. I don’t like the way Steve-o brings up that intervention. Not only because that should be private, but it’s quite possible that Zach 20:31 may have been struggling more mentally than with substances at that specific point, and sometimes it helps to think and have quiet and privacy, then move forward according (for some anyway)

38. A lot of people in these comments keep saying steve-o is being judgmental. Has nobody ever gotten advice, hard lecture, supportive criticism or just down right told ya gotta cut the bs and get better cause I or (we) love you and know you deserve better?! I mean seriously people somtimes, it's the conversation you don't wanna have, or the criticism you don't wanna take but hindsight is 20/20 and sometimes this is what you need to save your life. The young man will literally thank steve or always mentally think about how he was a main component in saving his life.
