    and it wasn't because they were targeting an older conservative demographic. before he was elected president, he was always seen as a liberal new york billionaire. look at the politicians he donated to way before his presidency. that's probably why he wasn't just willing to "give them back". the rich playboys that trump was seen to be, were exactly who they know were going to buy their cars. automobile manufacturers always do this stuff. it's advertising.
