40 thoughts on ““Oh F***, This Doesn’t Sound Like Slipknot To Me”

  1. It’s a great album. It shows their growth and maturity. They’re not the same guys (both literally and figuratively) they were 20+ yrs ago, and I don’t expect this album to sound like their debut. They may not love the album, and it’s creation may have been unorthodox for them, but it’s still a great one.

  2. Honestly I was really happy with this album, heirloom was probably the only song I wasn’t crazy about and even then it’s not a bad song just not a good slipknot song. Everything else has only been better every listen

  3. This album is by far their worst album but I mean every band has a terrible album
All hope is gone is no longer it

    Top 3 albums
    Iowa
    Self titled
    Gray Chapter

  4. I'm glad jim actually had a open mind to be more versatile instead of just going "No! It's need to sound exactly like the slipknot way!" Messing around let's you get some diversity, they can always dip back into their usual style

  5. At the end of the day, most of "MAGGOTS" the true fans became slipknot fans BECAUSE of the heaviness… why change?
watching heavy bands go soft is so depressing. we listen to the genre BECAUSE its heavy. not because we wanna hear soft shit.
if we wanted soft we would listen to lincoln park or something else. Heavy bands should stay heavy.
    there i said it.

  6. It is the worst album they have put out 100%. They rushed it to get out of roadrunner records OBVIOUSLY… We don't have to like what bands put out. I love Slipknot, but this album is extremely BAD.

  7. Well im not surprised, its sounded like a band trying to sound like slipknot ever since Joey and Paul have been absent. The drums haven't sounded like slipknot in nearly ten years.

  8. i think jim root is viewing the album from our perspective since he didn't really get to hear it all in full until it was done and not as it was being made.

  9. Slipknot blew their wad 2 soon by dropping their first three heavy asf albums that obv were their best work and now it isn’t gonna get any better cuz it just isn’t possible

  10. This new album is shit on a stick. The only thing you can hear in the songs is coreys voice that is high piched as hell. I thought this was a heavy metal band not disney plus for preschoolers

  11. Slipknot self titled and the Iowa album are by far the best! Vol 3 was okay I guess. The new stuff dosent sound like slipknot anymore. Might as well call it Stoneknot. Since 1.2.3 are no longer in the band they have gotten soft like a baby's arse! Rip Joey and Paul.

  12. it sounds like AI wrote and recorded whole album. stop defending it, even members of the band are not liking it. it is forced, boring, predictable, stone sourish and every experiment has failed .

  13. This and Subliminal Verses are their worst albums of all time, the disappointment and let down from TESF was a bummer. Like a heavy rock CMFT, hard pass.

  14. i love "the end so far" a lot! what makes it so cool is that its not the usual music slipknot makes. i like when they change it up and i especially love coreys vocals when he sings 😀

i read that corey doesnt want to be put in a box, he doesnt want to make the same stuff over and over again just because the fans expect it after writing "the heaviest album ever" (his words). to do something experimental is a nice change imo. whatever they make is good, anyways
