0:00 Intro
0:05 The Service Stabilitrak message is on because the AWD system is not working (because it’s missing the driveshaft and not sending power to the rear wheels). I asked the technician if he had more information about this clip but he doesn’t at this time. If I have an update I’ll let you guys know.
The vehicle will still move and just be FWD (front-wheel drive) even with the driveshaft removed and the transfer case not in use.
0:33 A fake exhaust tip that a technician noticed on a customer’s vehicle.
0:41 The turbine shaft and bearings rotate in a thin film of oil. If no oil is present you will damage the bearings and turbo very quickly. I’m surprised it lasted 10 days like this, but maybe the customer barely drove it afterward. The technician didn’t mention what kind of vehicle this was on.
0:55 As mentioned the customer had the engine at 6000 RPM. The tires were spinning, then the customer finally got traction on dry pavement. The shock to the differential gaining traction after the rear differential spinning so quickly broke it into multiple pieces.
1:17 You can get water in a differential from off-roading. Differentials have a vent tube and often get damaged when off-roading, or if you drive in deep enough water, water will get into the differential from the vent tube.
You can make the vent tube longer and higher up to prevent this. It’s also good to check your vent tube and make sure it’s not plugged.
1:34 First time seeing DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) put in a differential!
DEF is an emissions control liquid required by modern diesel engines. It’s injected into the exhaust stream to break down dangerous NOx emissions into harmless nitrogen and water (definitely not meant for a differential lol). Always put the manufacturer-recommended fluid in a differential.
1:44 The technician said it came in because the blower motor wasn’t working. The technicians found dog food in the blower motor and he said it smelled AWFUL and took 30 minutes to clean up. This is usually caused by mice, rats, or squirrels hoarding any food they find.
1:55 No extra info.
2:04 This clip was shared with us by a viewer who’s a teacher and make’s these for demonstration purposes for his classroom, so I wanted to share!
2:14 No extra info.
2:28 The technician said this was on a 2003 Toyota Camry. He has seen this a few times and it’s usually caused by leaving food in your vehicle he said. He said they removed most of the interior and threw in some bug bombs.
2:45 This clip was shared by a viewer of his 1956 Chevrolet 210 with a Cummins turbo diesel. The 210 was discontinued after the 1957 model year to be replaced by the Biscayne.
2:59 Outro. Thanks for watching!

  1. DEF in the diff? But…how? Oh. I get it. I thought he must be on drugs, but I just read how 'diff' sounds. Diff. DEF. So… you told him to put the oil in it, but instead of gear oil, you said Diff Oil. (sigh) That… actually makes it understandable. Horrifying in the amount of damage it can do, but understandable. I can see myself doing that, if I knew as little about cars today as I did when I was 20. Now I know what needs to go in there, though I might get the wrong brand or spec. Back then… yeah, if DEF had existed and you said Diff, I could've made that mistake. I would go look for 'diff oil', and fail to find any, since it doesn't exist. I would skip right past 'gear oil', 'cause that doesn't sound like what you said. Then I would see the DEF. "Oh," I would say, "that must be what he meant. The picture doesn't look like oil… but it's the only option that fits what I know, and he gets mad when I have to ask again…" presto, change-o, $1000 becomes scrap metal.

  2. Random question…. whats highest price charged for an oil ohange? Last time I brought MB C300 to MB dealer they said $250+, Im like " you got rocks in your hesd? thats like 25 a quart?. I got them down to $125.00 Ild do it nyself but its a low rider. Actually next time I'll just Not be lazy and jack it up and Not deal with these Idiots

  3. I wanted to say this because I've looked at some cars where people buy and sell these cars on and off the internet and some of these people patch these things up or they try to sell them as good cars when they are a piece of junk these fly by night guys should be held criminal liable for dangerous Auto repair. People's lives are at stake that buy the cars and the people that are driving around them could be seriously injured.

  4. Your content makes me wanna go buy a older model car and pull the engine and take it over to my life long mechanic and tell him the car won’t start. Just to get a laugh out of him…

  5. Its amazing how dumb people can be , you dont even need to be mechanicly minded for 99% of these faults , you just need common sense which doesnt seem all too common these days lol ….
