  1. I kinda disagree with your take on this. I think Blink handled Tom’s return and Matt’s exit extremely poorly and this was an attempt to save face.

Matt should have known his status in the band and they should have worked an exit strategy long before any of this became public.

    Just my own thoughts though.

  2. Am I the only one that wished they Matt stayed, but they also brought Tom back so that they were a 4 piece? They could've made some really great music together.

  3. Ok can we all stop pretending Blink was anywhere near as good with Matt as they are with Tom? I get it, he left in a less than ideal way. But to pretend that he can hold a candle to Tom (for blinks sound) is just laughable. Toms back and everything is as it should be.

  4. Didn't Matt throw shade on Tom multiple times while he was in Blink? Good to see Tom is the bigger man and tipped his hat to Matt. Now that the real Blink is back, that's all that matters.

  5. Don’t get me wrong I love the idea of hearing classic blink, but only if Tom can leave his angels and airwaves style of singing with Angels and airwaves. It kind of pisses me off that Tom keeps doing this. I’m not a fan of the seesaw game of being in or out. Make up your damn mind.

  6. I think it would make sense for matt to continue working with them, even just for live. When they play songs live from the matt era, how else would that work? Tom singing matt's parts?

  7. Wow, I saw them in Ft.Worth, Tx in 94'/95', I think they opened for Joykiller. Anyways, they are now complete with Tom back in. Skiba, is better off with Alkaline Trio, i love his voice with the dark drive and heavier Naked Raygun sound than I did with Blink. He did a stand up job filling in but I like him better in Trio.

  8. Rumors are obviously just rumors but there’s one going around that they might have Scott Raynor come out and play a song or two at their show in San Diego next year. Probably not true but holy shit that would be awesome!

  9. Matt Skiba simply as a touring member would be a giant insult to Matt, the same man who gave us Alkaline Trio. Who make much better music IMO. Love some Blink songs, but always have preferred Alkaline Trio. And I hope this means we will now get more Alkaline Trio music

  10. Matt had so many pluses. Matt stepped up to the plate for the band when Tom (an original member) wouldn’t. Fans were acting like desperate exes when Tom left, only wanting him back and not embracing the joining of another really talented punk artist. Some of the songs blink did on the two albums with Matt were some of blink’s best, and possibly all of it better than the Neighborhoods album. Cool that Tom is back, but I’m thankful for Matt. Those are some of Blink’s best moments
