Decades ago there was a TV show called Monster Garage, where each episode a team of mechanics would undertake a weird car project (turn a Mustang into a lawn mower) in a week or so on a limited budget. It was like two episodes in when someone had the brilliant idea of increasing the budget by selling the parts they were taking off of the base vehicle.

    I'm not saying clear off your shelves, but yes that collection needs a bit of pruning. Parts that you are probably never going to use, for cars you don't own and have no plans to acquire, should be turned into increased budgets for the projects you already have or would like to have.
    "So, I sold an old transmission and now I can afford to get this reupholstered."

Freddie should have looked at SOLD listings on eBay..he's not far off on the hellcat stuff but c'mon a Honda K20 is worth $3k? I can find one 2moro in a salvage yard for $500-$800 all day long..even the hellcat stuff I mentioned is way cheaper than he said.a crate motor from Dodge isn't $30k

36. I actually just did this at my workshop over the weekend and stopped adding it up when I got to $106,000. I still have $5,000-$10,000 in parts up on the mezzanine to count once I repair the section you have to climb up on to. You never realize how much you have till you actually count it all. There's a decent house deposit just in spare parts.

41. rare car parts like Austin martin v8 and v12 vantage in 13 years only made 2,300 of them so alot rarer than ferrari's same for mclaren cars ,the more you purchase fix and sit on the better your older years are going to be.
