Lyrics:
Collect your things and run if you can. Don’t look back on the rising tide again. Cause what is gone is gone. In the end. We only got what we had when we began. I count to 4, 5, 6, I feel like shit. I know. It’s a long way back down an ever empty road. I get to 8, 9, 10. I don’t care when. I know. Don’t lose track of yourself. Say not me. Hell no. Say not me. Hell no. You’re not the only one in your head. Don’t lose track now. The right ones must be fed. I tell ya now. Don’t wait. Don’t hesitate. I know. Don’t lose track of yourself. Say not me. Hell no. Not me. Hell no.

  1. Another great skateboard featuring punk rock video is TV on the Radio's "Lazerray", and they even seem to share a similar outlook.
TVOTR – "And should your light begin to shine, say hey alright, say 'I got mine'"
HWM – "Don't lose track of yourself, say 'hell no!' say 'not me!'"

  2. Medellin, Colombia present day: I found out yesterday looking through books that Hot Water Music choose their name from a set of short stories from Charles Bukowski, I decide to download some of their new stuff for my daily run. During this song, I stop mid run, completely blown away and travel back in time —- I had the privilege of seeing these gentlemen during the first day I arrived in Gainesville Florida at the legendary Old Common Grounds for 5 dollars… 5.. dollars – the show had an incredible impact on how I now view music. I can smell the Gainesville air, taste Leo's Pizza, and feel like im dancing at UCs indie night. Incredible song, guys.

  3. How do these guys do it? Bands come and go. Time rages on. Most bands that make it this long lose that creative spark and fade away. I’m in my 40s now, and been listening to HWM since college. That they keep pumping out these high quality tunes keeps me feeling young. I fucking love these guys. Can’t wait to see them in Chicago this weekend!

  4. I kinda fell away from HWM after Caution. The LPs after that didn't grab me as much as the early stuff, but this is a stone cold rocker. CW's voice sounds monstrous. And Chris Cresswell being a full time member of the band has piqued my interest more so.
