2. I don’t even think a full paint job can be billed out at 100 hours labor. That’s 3 men working 8 hours a day for 4 days . To polish a car. It’s a scam. Especially at 100 dollar an hour labor rate.

3. A rich person owned the car drove it a little bit back in the day and it sat in a garage. They act as if this car was disaster. He keep using the previous owners name. Its lame.

12. Ed, this was one of your best ever stories. I talked with Spyker about buying one of the water cars used in Basic Instinct 2, virtually identical to your car, after the filming. Wish I had it now! I’ll be taking a Porsche to Gloss It Las Vegas after watching this!

13. It gives me an immense sense of pride to hear the amount of respect in Ed’s voice talking about the work the detailers put in. As a detailer myself I love watching others that are good at the craft pour themselves into it.

As a detailer I was cringing so hard seeing those swirl marks on a car that beautiful and I never allowed the owner to be anywhere near me while I was cutting a polishing a car I did a Red XJ with WHITE interior, that was very difficult and I wouldn't have been able to do it in front of the owner

22. I have a soft spot for Spyker. I'm Dutch myself and I used to go to Sebring and Le Mans, rooting for the Dutch teams Racing for Holland and Spyker. We would go to Le Mans with around 40 people, set up camp, have a free for everybody Friday night party with free beer and a live blues band. The Spyker Squadron, as their team was called, used to come party with us too and invited us to the paddock the next day and at the factory later that year. They were really appreciative of our support.

    Spyker may not have been the last word in engineering or performance, but it's special and I'm thankful for having had the opportunity to get so close to the people chasing their dreams.

    Seeing this video put a smile on my face. Good for you for safeguarding a piece of automotive history.

24. That is the most ridiculous video about car care I have ever seen. Your car is beautiful! Really nice specimen of a Spyker (which means nail in Dutch) it needed nothing but a nice clean and polish. Those guys were looking at that car as if it had rust all over. Way too fanatical! Once driven outside 150 hours down the drain.
