Lyrics:
Don’t say a thing
Breathe my endless hollow words
If I fatigue you’re still walking alone
Because every conversation’s just denying what we already know

Best intentions for the goal, from the time that we began
But I was out the door, losing track of where we stand
Now misgivings are assured
The weeks we sit and watch them go

All these words will burn in time
Promises of holding the line

In position to secure a direction that was always planned
The winds have somehow turned
There’s no telling where or when I might now land

All these words will burn in time
Promises of holding the line
Words of mine burn in time

Pledges best ignored, foundations built of unpacked sand
A guest just passing through, for the moment linger until they disband

All these words will burn in time
Promises of holding the line
All these spaces kept from the light
All of my words will burn in time

The day you’re waiting for, it won’t arrive
Someday you won’t be waiting

  1. I’m hoping he’s had some vocal coaching since the last record rather than his improved vocals being down to studio tampering. I’ve been a fan of fairweather since if they move, and I love this new EP, I just hope it’s not another band I love falling foul of a producer that “cleans” peoples vocals up digitally.
