11. What he is saying is true for most trade shows, Chicago requires union plumbers to quick connect a compressed air line, union electricians to plug in an extension cord. Union Dock workers to unload the truck and move the pallet 1 foot, then union floor workers to bring it to your booth.

12. Wow… didn't know Eastman Kodak still around. SEMA really does good job promoting though. It is a fun event.

13. Unions ruin everything, they have outlived their usefulness. I think SEMA is quickly putting itself out of business.

17. As a stagehand, rigger and drum tech you bet your sweet ass we charge. We had two years not being allowed to work. We have always worked on “4 hour minis” the 5 years I’ve been in. You’re paying for our expertise not our time. If you want I can charge 175/hr with a 1hr minimum like mechanics do if you want. If you wanna go the “cheap” route and shit falls on your mclaren or god forbid someone you’re in for a very very large bill.

19. I don’t think I will be doing business or buying form them what I got is I don’t care about the little guys or the average person. Was at 2022 Sema and have a picture of their setup. And form waking around the guys that took the time to talk to me I was probably spend money with in the future. This is just a poor attitude of the show.

21. event like these are awesome for the first years then people just get greddy for the quick cash, heck makes me want to make my own type of sema and charge half the price, have acces to a good amount of forklift for the booths to set up, and staff for helping set up booths.
