  1. Woody: Walks into an engineering interview with nothing, "Yeah I'm a engineer" "You're hired!"
Me: Gets a 4 year engineering degree, puts together a resume, apply for engineering jobs all over, go through dozens of interviews, "Yeah, we want someone with 10+ years experience for this entry level job"

    Seems fair…

  2. Instead of magic this theme park featured the horrors and suffering of USA, built by a swindler whose goal in life was money and power. It's really aptly named.

  3. 'my theme park mascot is a personification of american values of hard work and ingenuity'
saved it at the end there because i don't believe 'lying on your CV' is really hard work there buddy ol'pal. cheating your way to the top is certainly a type of ingenuity… very bold and brash, clever. good save.

  4. Me, a sheltered Brit: "Wow, I'd never heard of any of this stuff, it's fascinating… WAIT, he was the guy who bought London Bridge???"

Hearing about that man shaped my idea of The American Way for a good chunk of my childhood. Amazing to get to hear more of his story.

  5. I am wondering if Walt ever considered lawsuits against Freedom land. It's easy to see a lot of Disney/ Freedom land compressions in attractions and ideas. Disney's imaginers are credited with many attractions at Disney but it looks like several actually came from Freedom land. Or, did they steal from each other?

  6. I honestly really like this park. It’s a really cool idea, a sort of American Puy du Fou. Wish I could have gone. Also as someone from Tucson it’s cool to see my city represented
