These videos are meant to be educational but also funny, so if you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask!

0:00 Intro
0:05 The technician said: “Toyota 4Runner 2006 ish…. car came in for a used vehicle inspection AFTER the customer purchased it. The vehicle was from up north. My shop is in Georgia. The lady stated when she accelerates her truck slides sideways like it’s on ice and abs light flashes. AutoZone told her it was a bad sensor. Someone bolted the two rusted halves of the frame back together.”
0:19 As you can see the positive battery cable isn’t connected. The technician connected it and his co-worker started the car.
0:35 The technician said this happened when he was working on a Saturday and they didn’t charge the customer to remove the zip-tie but gave it to him so he could hit his friend with it.
0:45 The technician said that was the bible that was jammed underneath the aftermarket radio which kept it in place.
0:56 The snow plow marker is made out of fiberglass and the driveshaft is made out of aluminum. The driveshaft spins any time the vehicle moves so it wore through the driveshaft pretty quickly. The truck is a GMC (didn’t mention the exact model).
1:07 Truck that had the driveshaft fall off was a GMC Sierra (Duramax). The transfer case was also broken on it. The customer must have been ignoring a driveline noise for quite a while.
1:18 From what you can see, the wheels are bent/damaged and the lower control arms were broken. Probably will need CV axles, new tires, an alignment, and some other front-end/suspension parts.
1:29 The customer never re-installed the oil cap and oil spat out from the engine which caused the oil smell that the customer had.
1:46 Driving a vehicle in 4HI or 4LO while on pavement will make it feel like your vehicle is binding. That’s why it’s important just to use it in certain conditions like snow or mud. Driving constantly could cause issues down the line with your transfer case and differentials. The truck was a GMC Sierra (Duramax).
1:57 Customer damaged the exhaust, flex pipe, and exhaust hangers. Will need a whole new piece installed.
2:10 Jaguar door sill on a Toyota Tundra.
2:21 Bullet went through the radiator.
2:36 The customer got a used engine installed. The truck was a Dodge Ram 3500 (Cummins 6.7L).
2:47 All the stuff you need to remove to replace an instrument cluster in a Dodge Caravan.
3:02 Person who filmed this: “This was a wreck in the alumni parking lot at Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee. After seeing the accident with my own eyes, I jumped out of my car and started recording the scene. There wasn’t a scratch on him.”
3:12 Outro. Thanks for watching!

  1. 0:30 It's entirely possible they were fully aware it was something like this. Sometimes an "ahh, duh, they didn't hook up the battery" hides a MUCH MUCH bigger danger.

  2. I have an 08 Vauxhall Astra sportshatch and to replace just 1 speaker on 1 side at the rear of the car .. you have to take the rear seats out, front seat belts / c pillar trim panel, Rear seat belts and the side panel.

  3. The service manager at my old shop used to park his truck in front of the bay doors, and my foreman would always give him shit for it. One day the foreman had me put half a dozen heavy gauge zipties on his driveshaft. The service manager's son was an apprentice and the next day he said they got a block away and his dad heard the sound and just started to laugh. Never parked there again though.

  4. I worked as an automobile mechanic in the 70's. I never saw anything like this, except twice. One was a car from up north where the frame had almost completely rusted away. I told them that I couldn't put it on the lift. The other was a car that broke a radiator hose and they drove it for about 10 miles without any coolant in the summer. The engine seized in entrance to our station. I told them that we could do anything until the engine cooled down and likely that it was completely damaged. You could smell the burnt oil from about 20 feet away.

  5. What was the prank? I wish I had a genuine knowledgeable mechanic around me in Idaho to diagnose some electrical most likely a Junction box and of relays need fixed replaced. I can’t find a decent knowledgeable mechanic that can diagnose properly and just wants to throw parts for thousands of dollars.

  6. That yellow pole through the dash reminds me as a student in high school of a driver's education book that had dozens of pictures of traffic accidents with fatalities. Many of them guardrail and street sign impalements.

  7. Around 1980, our next door neighbor’s son was drunk driving his F-150 and crashed into someone’s front lawn. The driveshaft detached from one end and drilled itself into the lawn. They had trouble retrieving the wreck. Next month he got a brand new Toyota pickup. The first one available in the US with the round headlights.

  8. In Austria, we have something like a yearly inspection of your car. If you have some damage, you need to fix it or else you are not allowed to drive it anymore.
At first i thought this is stupid. But after watching some of your vids, i'm happy over it. I wouldn't drive almost no car from your videos because i value my life!

  9. I watched these videos and could not imagine how anyone would let rusted frame damage happen, Well my 2005 Ford Escape I kept hearing a noise when I would turn corners..I figured maybe the hitch I installed last year was loose? Nope..The spring mounting area was rusted and the part that holds the bump stop rubber thing had rusted all the way off and was laying inside the spring rumbling around loose but too large to come out between the spring! The part does not seem to hold any weight and is the bump stop.. It's not the shock tower which is known to rust on these Ford Escape's…

  10. I made it over train tracks and had to go for it because a train was coming! My buddy had his hand on the handle ready to jump out. I broke a leaf spring. Luckily made it!
