0:00 Intro
0:05 No extra info. I’m surprised the customer did bother to check under the hood though since they did try to change the air filter and smelled a burning smell afterward. They’re lucky it didn’t catch on fire.
0:23 No extra info.
0:31 I talked to the technician who filmed this and the customer thinks it fell into the headliner after one day they went to the beach and were packing up their vehicle to go home. They put the sandwich meat on the sunroof and when they closed their sunroof, it somehow slid underneath the headliner and they didn’t remember until they could smell it.
0:39 This clip was filmed the day I made this video, so If I get an update I’ll be sure to let you guys know.
0:51 I’ve never seen this happen before, but my guess is that the brakes got so hot at one point and the brake pad material came off the brake pad backing plate and then “welded” itself onto the brake rotor.
1:02 No extra info. The truck was a Toyota Tacoma.
1:23 The technician said: “2017 Ford F-250 6.7 Powerstroke
Towed in with a No-start after it started knocking and shut off on the customer. After taking a fuel sample we found the diesel to be contaminated with DEF fluid. Apparently, the customer pumped roughly 4 gallons of DEF fluid into the fuel tank while filling up. Notice the DEF fluid growing crystals on the floor of the shop where we spilled the “fuel” sample! The customer approved replacing the entire fuel system, and tank to injectors. $18,000 in repairs. Truck runs great after repairs.”
1:45 The technician said he’s not sure if it was a defect in the CV axle or if the customer kept dumping the clutch which caused this. As usually when a CV axle breaks it’ll be around halfway and not sheared off near the transmission (from my experience).
2:02 That’s a spark plug wire you see hanging from underneath this vehicle. That’s most likely why they have a miss fire.
2:10 No extra info. However a good chance they will need a new engine/rebuild. Which will be very expensive since it’s a V10.
2:24 From the looks of it, the other shop broke an exhaust bolt (looks to be EGR pipe) so it would no longer seal. So they used a bunch of RTV silicone to seal it and try and hide their mistake. It’s common for them to break and usually requires drilling them out.
2:33 From viewer who sent it in: “2010 Nissan Navara YD25DDTi.
I’m mobile, customer phoned saying he died on the motorway and he thinks he needs a new gearbox. I arrived to the truck semi-lifted, I removed the gearbox to this. I got paid and left.”
2:53 A mean prank but a common one I’ve seen myself working in an automotive and heavy-duty shop.
3:06 Outro. Thanks for watching!

  1. It doesn't cease to amaze me that people put DEF into their diesel tank.
There are TWO different caps with TWO different colors that are CLEARLY marked. 🤦‍♂

  2. Work as a Diesel Garbage mechanic. Had a driver once write up. Headlight fluid low. What? One headlight had a bad seal. Replaced the headlight. Wrote on the computer. Topped off Headlight fluid. Thanks 😂
